That is an abysmal tweet. It's worked for Neville ? i'm Presuming they mean Phil, sorry but that is a totally different sphere to the mens game. Gerrard the jury is out, in a 2 team league he came 2nd and looks like doing so again. Also Giggs is struggling to qualify for the Euros after being semi finalists last time. Lazy journalism/ wind up I never equated twitter with journalism, but then again I still write actual letters...đ€Ł

Well players will be in this morning so if there is any movement you would hope it would be today.
I have a gut instinct that there is nil talk of the manager losing his job only between us the fans and those on here. Still struggle to get my head around 9 actual league points from winning out of 78.
Truly awful statistic

It's a weird one, in so much as the performances this season have not been that bad- Preston apart which was an aberration. I thought that performance alone might have been enough to seal it. However since then we have not really been taken to the cleaners and on Saturday there were positive signs in the performance, but we still keep losing. It feels to me that it could turn, we just need a 1-0 from a deflected goal in a game we shouldn't have won to spark something- but will it happen, each game you think maybe and then hopes are dashed. How long can you keep hoping? A couple of bad performances and 2/3 nil drubbings would be the end, but instead we keep pluckily staying in games and giving everyone food for thought. I suppose eventually, maybe at the next international break, if things continue in the same vain that all emotion will be removed from the equation and he will be gone.

I doubt you could do it again even if you tried.

If you mean gaining points from winning positions, then it's 14 from 30 under Jones.

He will be in charge for Brentford based simply off the performance against Bristol City.
If the performance drops and we get a mullering from Brentford it would leave him in a very precarious position.

I was looking at how many points we have actually achieved through winning whilst under Jones watch.
No draws, no cup games just wins out of how many points in the league

Of course the one option no one has mentioned is Pulis comes and fails and we still go down, the ultimate settlement of the Oatcakeâs longest running debate It wouldn't settle a thing. There are some on here who would defend him to the death no matter what happened. It would be the fault of the fans, the pitch, the players, past managers, the CEO, the Chairman, his son, Cartwright. But never his fault. H Tony Pulis could keep us up, get us up, take us to a Cup Final and the knock out stages of a European competition and some would still refuse to attend home games whilst he's in charge. Our rise would be thanks to Coates, a new CEO, the fans. But never due to him

Just like he had enough Stoke in him to get his players to cheat against us? Enough Stoke in him to conceal the ban in the first place? I also know that Pulis didn't hate Saido at all, opposite in fact. Pulis isn't a very nice man at all, despite some of the misty eyed claptrap spouted on here. Yeah sure that was his fault not us not doing our research yet again. Who is blaming him?

You're saying he concealed the ban when they surely could have found out if they'd done some research or spoken to him. Berahino was Hughes trying to get one over on Pulis if anything. I know you don't like TP (and most of your points are fair enough) but saying Berahino was in any way his fault is ridiculous.

It was 100% Hughes and the crack transfer team. What I am questioning is the complete bollocks that Tony Pulis was waiting by the phone for Uncle Peter to call so he could warn him off signing young Saido. All while concealing a ban to Sparky & Co. And being the manager who, allegedly couldn't wait to get rid of him. Preposterous.

I do wonder if the plan isn't, make up our mind as soon as after the next match and put our feelers out, then get something done quick and he'll have a couple weeks to settle in.
Get working on a replacement before he's officially sacked sort of thing, only works if the club can keep schtum.

Absolutely no doubt that the Coates family are scratching their heads. Its against their ethos to chop and change but cant ignore the lack of grip our current Manager has on things. The league table already looks sad and we dont show any signs of reversing a losing trend. Shocking excuses being proffered too, bad refereeing, its all Allan's fault or all McCleans fault........Manager is very lucky, no previous Manager has received such an easy ride with results like these

Need to give him the chance to get all 3 points at home to Forest, unless we suffer a heavy loss on Saturday

Need to give him the chance to get all 3 points at home to Forest, unless we suffer a heavy loss on Saturday That makes no sense at all. Any loss on Saturday should see the end of him, why does it need to be heavy? And how could we then allow him to take charge of a game against the league leaders which runs a very good chance of being our eighth defeat in nine games?

I never want us to lose, but do confess to a little worry that Jones flukes a win and this sad saga continues.
He will win one every 10 games or so. So what do we conclude once the stars collide and he does? It will be a call for another 5 games? But the last 30 odd games show he just hasn't got a semblance of a clue about creating a team that will compete strongly at this level. There isn't a magic switch to flick here, where we will suddenly go from abject and rudderless, to a team that goes 5 games unbeaten. There is no pattern or trend. Our performance is the result of his competence over 100s of decisions, relating to systems, players in/out, line ups, subs, tactics, how players are mentally prepared etc.
The stats based on the last 10 seasons in the Championship are that the bottom club after 6 games is relegated 30% of the time, but if you are still in the bottom 3 after about 12-13 games, the odds of dropping move to around 50-50 and are 60% by 15 games. Over the last 10 seasons, the best a team has finished after being bottom after 6 games is 16th. In short, we need to act fast. Its like getting behind the run rate at cricket. The only possible upside on waiting is that Bruce, Warnock are sacked, (who, alongside Hughton, are probably amongst the best qualified for a job which is to steady the ship and build solid foundations in the rest of this season; and get us in the upper reaches of league again next year - while not being Pulis, who'd divide the fans at a time that wouldn't be good).

Donât confuse being appreciative of past service and wanting him back!
