Unbelievable that we were asking £15m for Allen - and 20-odd for Butland. The mind boggles. Pre-season both seemed fairly reasonable to be fair. Not really, unless your a simpleton.

Pre-season both seemed fairly reasonable to be fair. Suppose they did seem more fair than now. But I was always someone who would have taken lower than that to make sure we banked something reasonable for them this summer so we could re-invest with a new broom. I respect the opinion of those who felt we needed to be firm and not be pushed around, but Butland will be entering his final year next summer, and I would have taken £15m in a heartbeat - and would certainly have taken £10-12m for Allen (and his 50-60k-a-week) Nobody offered anywhere near 15m for him though did they. It was clear nobody was going to offer anything like it for him, he's just an average championship keeper nowadays.

If Allen is dropped but Jack plays he's a fucking lunatic and a coward. Totally agree with this,i have no confidence in Jones but surely Butland get's dropped.Strong management needed,is Jones upto it? Dropping Allen would be pretty strong management as no one else has been able/willing to do it.

Assuming there's truth to it, and whether it's a good idea or not, it's a REALLY bad sign that that sort of information is being leaked. Could be anybody with something against the manager. Our Nathan has got a real problem on his hands. I never give much credence to these "must win" games. BUT. Our Nath really can't fail now. It is shit or bust over the next three games. I feel really sorry for Jones, he hasn’t a chance with this leak, he literally cannot win. Whoever has leaked it is an absolute bastard and that’s the real story. Why is it always us? Just can’t catch a break.

One thing is for certain, whoever has leaked this to Percy has an agenda and you can bet your last penny that the entire team sheet has found it's way onto Bielsa's lap. Tosser. I like your theory on it being cartwright he's on the way out with nothing to lose but what's he trying to achieve if it was him that has leaked the information?? To throw NJ under the bus?? Potentially if NJ has booted him to bring in his own man. I don’t think there is any surprise Cartwright went the second the window shut and we didn’t have a left back and we’ve got cousins at CDM

All eyes will be on Butland if he plays,he will be under immense pressure not to make a mistake and Leeds will look to take advantage of that. In my opinion it's a terrible decision Whoever plays in goal will be under pressure to avoid any basic errors

Jack's had a bad start to the season but is still the best keeper we have by a country mile and much like Man Utd did with De Gea last year, why bring an inferior player in just let your best player get through it " form is temporary class is permanent"Joe has been culpable in a number of the goals we have gifted to the opposition including Derby's first and Preston's first and if he had done his job then Jack would not have been able to make his fuck ups. That’s the biggest myth in football. Bojan was never the same after his injury, neither were Butland nor Shawcross. Oh lovely, this shite again...

It's good to see The Oatcake has fully embraced the post-truth era. Just say whatever bollocks you like to support your viewpoint and if you say it enough times, it becomes the truth (just like Pulis guiding us to those 9th place finishes etc).

The line about Butland has now been revised twice from the original, so he's definitely not sure.
Original Jones is leaning towards sticking with goalkeeper Jack Butland, despite a number of mistakes from the England international already this season
Revised version Jones may stick with Jack Butland who was at fault in the 3-1 defeat at Preston on Wednesday, though there are some fitness doubts hanging over the goalkeeper.
Now Jones is weighing up whether to stick with Jack Butland, who was at fault in the 3-1 defeat at Preston on Wednesday.

Don't know why but I get the feeling after that third revision that he is getting dropped. And it's the best decision for the club and for Jack personally.

Maybe a guide might help. For example: "If you're not sure whether it's your or you're, your best bet is to choose one or the other and stick with it. That way, you're likely to be right about 50% of the time". Now, where's some grainy old film of Ian Ure? He was great on Quiz Ball.

Personally I feel Jones has 5 make or break games now. He cannot simply keep on with same as and go like a lamb. He has to 'manage' and make those crucial player changes and in the process reinforce a largely outplayed and overrun midfield too. If he makes those player changes today but plays to the diamond and loses badly, there is no place left to hide. The system has to be ditched and those player changes have just 4 more games after today to make or break Jones imo. He now has to set his stall out with the lads he wants to get him through these 5 games and play them without constantly chopping and changing!

If he plays either of Butland or Allen, he has totally wimped out and lost all credibility.
They both crossed the line, with their ' performances ' this season.
