All eyes will be on Butland if he plays,he will be under immense pressure not to make a mistake and Leeds will look to take advantage of that. In my opinion it's a terrible decision Agree, his confidence is shot. He should be out of the limelight for a few week

He should be out of the limelight for a few week If Jack starts tomorrow the one thing is that is certain that Jack wants to play and feels he can. Whether it’s going to work out that way is another matter but some players need to play through it. The easiest thing in the world for him to do right now is say he needs a break and a little holiday.

Like they know. What bollocks SGS I don't think a journo like Nixon would put something like this in based on absolutely nothing mate. If I was looking for a 'leaker' I'd sayJoe has already been told and his agent has put out an all ports alert notice for a loan before the window shuts?

I don’t know if it’s madness but I think the decision has been taken (if it even has yet) for a reason and all I am saying is that Jack needs our support tomorrow.

Lucky their goal keeper is a psycho so their defenders will be doing the same 😂

A break could equally do him good

And you’re being much less of an arse than usual to be honest 😉 I just feel even if you hate this decision, it’s being taken for a reason, dropping a keeper is a much different proposition than dropping an outfield player and Jack needs full support tomorrow which I am sure he will get.

Kick in the balls for davies though isn't it, even Federici who kept the only clean sheet we have had this season. Thought it was all about healthy compitition? If they cant get in now when will they? Dropping butland might make him realise he has some compitition so he had better pull his socks up. He might regain a bit of focus if hes not automatic #1

Do you think so? Hindsight is a wonderful thing - but I do think there were lots who would have taken a combined £25m for them and looked to re-invest, certainly given Allen's £3m-a-year wages. On here there would’ve been hell up if either had gone for less than £20m Grapey. I'd happily have got rid of him for 100k.

Fair do's and they both get stuff wrong but both are close to Stoke and Percy must have what he considers a very reliable source on it either way. To me who that source is, is more of a story than the no brainer of dropping the useless get!

Jack's had a bad start to the season but is still the best keeper we have by a country mile and much like Man Utd did with De Gea last year, why bring an inferior player in just let your best player get through it " form is temporary class is permanent"Joe has been culpable in a number of the goals we have gifted to the opposition including Derby's first and Preston's first and if he had done his job then Jack would not have been able to make his fuck ups. That’s the biggest myth in football. Bojan was never the same after his injury, neither were Butland nor Shawcross.

Reading this post I’m honestly embarrassed by some of the comments of so called supporters.
The vindictiveness spewed out by people who have no knowledge whatsoever about individual player standards of professionalism, effort, thoughts, contracts etc. is beyond comprehension.

Defining moment in Jones's management career at Stoke City looming, win with Butland and he is the manager that keeps faith with his man, lose with a soft goal and he really is toast. Surely it's Butland who would be toast?

I think Joe being dropped has a different context to Jack being dropped. Joe's being dropped for a sustained period of unproductive performances. In Jack's case, his head hasn't been in the right space after missing out on a transfer back to the Premier League. I can only guess that NJ has had a heart-to-heart about this with Jack and is willing to give him one more chance to redeem himself. If Jack's mentally in gear, he's a top class keeper. I'm confident we'll see a more robust Jack against Leeds. With Joe, no heart-to-heart is going to instil the discipline to follow his man, keep position and stop running about like a panicked llama.

Assuming there's truth to it, and whether it's a good idea or not, it's a REALLY bad sign that that sort of information is being leaked. Could be anybody with something against the manager. Our Nathan has got a real problem on his hands.

Our Nathan has got a real problem on his hands. I never give much credence to these "must win" games. BUT. Our Nath really can't fail now. It is shit or bust over the next three games.
