Is much better but the back 3 is the best he can do with his shite formations so he should go with it.

Woods Etebo N'Diaye Powell/Duffy
Hogan Gregory.
As I picked that team I really struggled to think of someone to play in a certain position in the diamond and had to keep referring back to the Stoke squad on their website. It brings home how weak our squad is with Nathan's '2 for every position'

I'm sorry, but how the hell can Clucas make it in? Hid all game unless he was giving the ball away Worst in the pitch for me

4231 of Federici Edwards Carter-Vickers Collins Clucas Woods Etebo Ince Duffy Verlinden Gregory Is much better but the back 3 is the best he can do with his shite formations so he should go with it. Yep, I very much suspect this is our best potential starting XI. Although I do worry about how effective Gregory will be on his todd and would be quite prepared to drop the number 10 and go 442 if it wasn't working.

Yeah that’s certainly an issue but you’d like to hope the 3 behind would get close to him. Certainly wouldn’t be averse to Vokes playing and just crossing it to him.

Both the 'untouchables' need dropping right now! Neither Butland nor Allen are anywhere near at it and it's having an awful knock on effect right through the side. Surely we have to go 442 on saturday or face being badly mauled. Otherwise Leeds will run riot!!

Davies Collins (c) Carter-Vickers Lindsay Woods Edwards Etebo Clucas McClean Duffy Hogan Subs: Federici, Smith, Cousins, Powell, Campbell, Gregory, Ince. Can't disagree with that - would be tempted to go with Gregory over Hogan as Gregory is a much better link player, whereas Hogan would get isolated up top. Would put young Lasse on the bench too. Think at this stage we have to go back to basics, be compact, difficult to break down, play percentages and try and nick something off a set piece. When we have built that base then we can start to look at changing things up with bringing in a more attacking shape or a second striker

Nice to see the 3-5-2 and it's variations are suddenly popular! 😁 Its just a bit of a balance really, we've been creating chances and we don't want to lose that but clearly we need to be doing better at the back, this could be the best of both worlds.

I have always liked it. I might have even mentioned it a couple of times? 😜 I think it suits our players better, but as others have said, you can't legislate for calamities like tonight.

It worked on 23/2/74 mate! Wow ... what was the formation? Robertson on the right wing, Huddy and John in the middle, who played on the left wing? I suppose Greenhoff veered left. Not as a traditional winger though. ALSO Pejic could cover a lot of ground.
