So you tell me how joining in with away supporters singing you’re getting sacked in the morning helps the team? You fucking moron ! Jesus hates Christ, this debate is endless. The team get the plaudits when they play well, no question. However, we have been so unremittingly shit for 3 years, are fans not entitled to make their displeasure known? I wouldn’t ever boo the team, but I can frankly see the gallows humour in this, and judging by reading this board, it’s what most people want!

Play 4231 on Tuesday: Davies Smith Batth Lindsay Ward Woods Badou Ince Powell Verlinden Campbell I wish, but I doubt we'll ever see a 4-2-3-1 formation under NJ mate.

Just watched the game , we made Leeds look like Barca , we are so slow over the pitch , we are definitely reaping what we sow , we are a team with Sunderland written all over us , I’m afraid league one is calling , unless there is a massive upturn in our performances

I have slept on things to try and be a bit more considered.
We played 3 at the back to beat Leeds last season and Nathan seemed to think that he could do the same yesterday.
However the difference yesterday was that there was a large, portly Scottish hole just in front of the back 3 which last year was occupied by Charlie from where he sprayed the ball out to both wings and down the channels for Afobe and Campbell and that speed of ball movement allowed us to stretch and turn Leeds.
Yesterday we had no one in the team who can spot a pass and move the ball quickly and therefore Leeds were comfortable knowing that they could press without being concerned that we could by pass the press.
All the midfield players we have are 10 yard passers (or in the case of Etebo ball carriers), except when Lindsay digs out one of Ryan's old discarded golf clubs or the keeper belts it long for Gregory to try and win the ball against 2 or 3 defenders.
Nothing against Lee Gregory (I like his attitude, desire, battling qualities and he has a bit of ability) but at the end of last season we would surely have laughed if someone had said that we would be starting a home league game in August with Lee Gregory as the lone striker.
We looked okay, to a point, in the first half in that we kept Leeds at arms length but we created the square root of sweet f.a. going forward. It was as though we were set up to play Liverpool at Anfield. I know we didn't have a shot on target but I can't even remember an off target shot either.
I felt that all Leeds had to do was keep moving the ball quickly, make their off the ball runs and keep probing and we would eventually tire and leave too big a space, a player overload or a mistake , which is of course exactly what happened.
At half time we discussed how we might change things to score a goal, get back into the game and try to go on and win. There was just a general shrugging of shoulders with the only idea to play for corners and free-kicks.
About the only good thing yesterday was that for maybe the first time ever, even the wind was warm!
