Dieter Hecking from Bundesliga II and Álvaro Cervera from Segunda División seem decent and attainable. Not a chance in hell they'll go for them.

Not many that have the balls to come here and give a rocket and revolution that the club needs. The only person I can think of is Allardyce and he’ll not come

Interesting fact posted on Twitter TP joined Stoke when we were languishing at the bottom of the Championship in 2012 We’ve gone full circle, Premiership, staying there against all odds (to start with ) , FACup final, Europe Followed by the decline to where we are now
Is there another ”TP” out there? He wasn’t an experienced Premiership manager at that point A formidable character, stuck to his principles , got the very best out of the players at the club (not loads of superstars)
Or don’t they “ make them like that anymore?”
I think Jones will be in charge on Friday , if / when he goes it’s a very big challenge for any incoming manager It’s a mess but better than being a Bury fan right now

When TP took over we were fourth bottom with 14 points from 16 games, not bottom of the league. Interestingly enough we had 8 points from 8 games that season. You may also remember that it took him ten games to get his first win. And there wouldn't have been many Stoke fans who'd have been sad to see him go when we lost 6-0 at Nottingham Forest. The old Rivals board went into meltdown that day. Still, things worked out well in the end, largely because the squad was strengthened in the wake of that Forest game and the cash injection from the Chelsea cup game proceeds.

Regardless, we won’t even have thought about sounding out replacements yet in the vain hope that Jones will at least get us a win in the next few games. They’ll now panic, sack him, then say they’ll begin the process of finding a replacement, that will take 2 weeks and we’ll end up with someone akin to Lamberts level again.

So in their wisdom the board have left it so long and Jones has done so badly that nobody worth their salt want to be the new manager? Hmmmmm.... the patience thing worked out then
