Hopefully the club have improved the live streaming for this coming season. After all, it couldn’t be worse than the pathetic effort served up last season, with half the games unwatchable, and continual log in problems. Overseas fans deserve better, other clubs seem to manage okay, or, being Stoke, will we do it on the cheap again?

I really hope they from next season will be able to produce something that works from the kick off and through the full game. Was really annoyed at times this season when the picture was blinking for most of the game, when there was something wrong with the sound and why can't they put a clock up in the corner as everyone else does!? Will only pay game by game in the beginning and not go for a full subscription till I'm sure it will work properly. In most cases it was better to buy the games from our opponents last season as their streams certainly were better value for money!

Laughable that crooks can provide a stable clear stream but the club can't.

I would much prefer to pay for a season and not to have to faff about paying each game. BUT the service last year was complete amateur hour stuff so I'll like sit on the sideline for the first couple of matches to see how things pan out.

Hi there all I dont know how many more of us have sent in complaints about this StokeCity Live + service. I think all us "foreign" fans should contact them with our complaints. Only if we all complain may they improve the service. However I think that we will all be just ignored as is Stokes way. I really do believe that the fans are not held in any regard at all by the "powers that be" in the club.
Anyway, this is what I sent in to the club:
As an expat supporter of Stoke City, living in Bulgaria, last season I subscribed straight away to the new streaming service you were providing. It made sense to subscribe to the full season so we missed nothing of the games! Like the majority of your foreign fans who did the same, may I reaffirm to the club that we were all very disappointed by the service you provided. A lot of matches were unwatchable due to no stream at all or flashing so bad it could not be watched. Sometimes commentary, sometimes none. As a retired teacher of media studies I can say with a small degree of authority that the "camera work" was no better than what my 6th form students could have produced and often worse! They would have certainly been told to go away, practice more and come back with a more professional product. It was also always strange to me that, during moments of injuries or substitutions, the Stoke City service spent significantly more time showing the opposing fans than the injuries that were on the field or the substitutions. Which left the commentator also at a loss as to what had occurred on the field. Even shots of our fans would have been better than the opposing fans - why do I need to see 3-4 minutes of a small group of the opposing fans? There was no clock; the score was often missing and when it was there it was not always the up to date! There was no way of seeing replays of goals or incidents that you may want to see again.
For several games I ended up paying for the iFollow service - which had commentary; better camera work; upto date score and clock AND you could look at the goals and other incidents as often as you wanted. There was also access to upto the minute scores from all the other games in the league and also the other divisions!
It made the Stoke City service look very amateurish. It has been very amateurish.
What assurances can you give me about next seasons service that will make me part with my pension to subscribe again to Stoke City live + ? As someone based in Stoke of course you will not have had to be subjected to this poor service and so perhaps do not see the problem and so do not care about its improvement or resolution. Perhaps we the fans, albeit abroad, really do not count for very much. That is how the club makes us feel when you give us such a substandard service.
So, will the service be better than last season? Are you going with iFollow instead or have you a long contract with this amateur company? (perhaps long contracts are an endemic problem at Stoke?)
I would have like to have also sent this to the CEO as well so he can realise how badly the foreign fans of Stoke City are being let down (but I presume you will not forward this to him, although I would also like to think that you would have the integrity to forward this to him as I am asking you to).
Please let me know your views on this situation and what will be our options for the coming season.
IF i get a reply I will post it on here - so if I get to hear anything so shall yous lot! (Probably just the usual it was not our fault, it was a dodgy cable! ... and we cant afford flash digital things like putting a clock on the screen!)

I can just see it the answer "everything will be corrected and we have a whole new setup in place"... and when the season starts it'll be the same old problems again, starting with flickering.
I do wish they'd join the iFollow scheme and let the proffessionals do the job.

Better late than never. Two seasons of streaming embarrassment would have been too much to recover from. Maximizing profit without an adequate digital infrastructure, let alone "know-how" was doomed to fail...and it did.
