Now I'm a gentleman of leisure I've been taking plenty of weekends away but I'm a bit stuck any recommendations either in the EU or UK. My last trip was to Palermo which was great any other cracking destinations? Wait till April and go to see the Dutch bulbfields if you haven't already done so - the Keukenhof Gardens are amazing.
In the UK, my fave place for a break is York...... fell in love with the place nearly 40 years ago and have been back countless times & usually tie in visits with something on at the wonderful Theatre Royal, which is my favourite UK theatre. Or how about going to Portsmouth to see the Mary Rose exhibition? Yep, I agree with zerps........ Frankie, told you so - if you never do anything else, you have GOT TO go and see the Dutch Bulbfields! Then enjoy two or three days seeing the rest of Amsterdam. The Hague is lovely, too, as is Delft. I promise you, you'll be thrilled you went!
