I’ve never seen anything like it! I think I love Ben Stoke and I definitely love cricket.

What an incredible cricket match. Stokes was simply sublime.
Hopefully it's done wonders for English cricket in general as surely the casuals will be sold watching on channel 4. Nobody tell them not all matches are this exciting though haha.

Really pleased for Archer, especially after that first ball. Redemption for Ben Stokes after the T20 World Cup Final aswell!

I’m shattered!
What a game, what a finish, what drama with the 4 overthrows.
Feel for the Kiwis, no fancy dans, no dickheads, no egos they just play the game in the right spirit and they didn’t get the rub of the green today.
But we’ll done England, about bloody time!!

The only shame about that is we’ll never see a cricket match come as close to that drama again. It’s all downhill from here folks!
What a fucking sight though, our team lifting the World Cup.

Fantastic finish, so dramatic, nervy, edge of your seat stuff - I really thought we'd blown it !
Terrific to actually win the World Cup at long last ! Got to feel sorry for the Kiwis though, thought they were a credit to the game. Kane Williamson spoke very well in his post match interview even though he must be devastated.
Just rewatching the super over again - that throw at the end was super accurate straight to Jos Buttler to run out Guptill.
Well done England !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am emotionally drained.
I feel for them, an epic effort, no team deserved to lose. But fuck em :-)

How can anyone not like cricket?? Spot on - my missus normally hates the game but even she was excited during the last few overs of the game and the super over. It's a great game - and we've got the Ashes next ! Come on England !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems to me that whether it's England or Stoke, anything that we do achieve, we have to do it the hard way.

Wow what a game. They will be still showing this game in 50 years time. Such fine margins. The catch where the fielder put his foot on the boundary and the throw that hit Stokes bat and went for four were crucial.
I do feel a bit sorry for NZ, what a horrible way to lose, but at the end of the day we have won the World Cup!!!

Who's place does Archer take in the test side?!... I actually can't see him playing, in the first test anyway. Roy is a definite though.

How can anyone not like cricket?? There are some sad people about who cannot understand the game and its finer points. The white ball 50 over game will be the norm in a few years and then onto 100 over test matches. All in the name of progress.

The closest I can remember was when Nick Faldo overcame a 6 shot deficit to beat Greg Norman a good few years ago in the Masters. Sport now and again throws up these amazing unscripted days.
