Must be worth a bet on Watford, this isn't the final Man City want to be playing in.
Any tendency to complacency or show boating from them and you never know.

Sad in so many ways to see the demise of the Cup Final.
When I was a lad (OK back in the 50s early 60s) everything stopped on Cup Final day. The TV coverage started in the morning building to the 3.00pm kick off after Abide with me. We nipped out at half time and then back for second half. The electricity companies always reported the biggest surge in use at half time when millions put on their electric kettles
Sad to see it pushed back to a five o'clock spot.
Happy and innocent days.

That was because ( bar a huge England game )it was the only live match on the tv mate Since the start of the premiership and the tv coverage/ riches that go with it along with the necessity to stay in it from 80% of those in it and the rubbishing of it from the big clubs in order to consume the champions league was the beginning of the end of it for me The only way it can get back for me is if we are continuing to have this ridiculous 4 places for the “ cough “ champions league then the FA/League cup winners should get 2 spaces That way both cup competitions would get taken 99% more seriously

Ahh FA cup day. I remember it as a kid, all the build up in the morning, the teams singing their respective cheesy song, views along Wembley Way of all the fans making their way to the stadium, the team buses arriving, going outside at half time with a ball and mates to replay the first half action. Fabulous happy innocent days. All but gone now due to money!

I used to be so excited about FA Cup Final Day (even in my thirties!) but for me it is a dead competition. Its gone downhill since the Premiership started up.
It just seems to have lost its magic.
It's really depressing how the big clubs play their reserves for most of the competition and still manage to get to the Final!
I just can't understand why it isn't a 3pm kick off either?
I do hope Watford can pull it off....British football needs some meaningful competitiveness.

Hopefully a draw at full time. I got: Manchester City-Watford 1X
What happens then doesn't matter much, but it would be nice to see winger Ken Sema winning it for Watford! ⚽

Also Cup final Mastermind and a Z Lister celeb fan talking of their love for one team on BBC and the coach ride, players waving at family on the pitch, John Motson's omens how QPR once wore red in a game v Burnley in 1902 or something, a crap cup final song and the story of a player who once worked in a biscuit factory and was now playing in a Cup Final etc ....and 2 ticketless fans getting a pair of seats live outside the stadium

I'm right in thinking that when City beat us in 2011 that United clinched the Premier on the same day , Blackburn ? Bizarre how it has become more and more of a nuisance to teams.
Even get comfortable mid table teams like Leicester and Bournemouth making 8 or 9 changes.
I could probably name every FA Cup final from about 1970 to 1995 .
Since then I'd struggle really. Arsenal Dippers was great game . Apart from knowing Pompey and Cardiff got to finals and the Wigan win I've no idea who played who and when
