Help me out here, what in gods name does the Q & I stand for in LGBTQI ? LGBT+ is an "inclusive" way to represent all the different identities in the longer acronym but here's a breakdown of what each of the letters in LGBTQQIAAP mean. L - lesbian: a woman who is attracted to other women G - gay: a man who is attracted to other men or broadly people who identify as homosexual B - bisexual: a person who is attracted to both men and women T - transgender: a person whose gender identity is different from the sex the doctor put down on their birth certificate Q - queer: originally used as a hate term, some people want to reclaim the word, while others find it offensive. It can be a political statement, suggest that someone doesn't want to identify with "binaries" (e.g. male v female, homosexual v straight) or that they don't want to label themselves only by their sexual activity Q - questioning: a person who is still exploring their sexuality or gender identity I - intersex: a person whose body is not definitively male or female. This may be because they have chromosomes which are not XX or XY or because their genitals or reproductive organs are not considered "standard" A - allies: a person who identifies as straight but supports people in the LGBTQQIAAP community A - asexual: a person who is not attracted in a sexual way to people of any gender P - pansexual: a person whose sexual attraction is not based on gender and may themselves be fluid when it comes to gender or sexual identity also K can be added to stand for Kink, for those who have paticular fetishes... i recommend looking at cake farting

"That's a nice, err, wooden top you've got there. "It is isn't it... I've got wood there" One of my absolute favourite scenes of Alan Partridge Partridge: "That's illegal in america." "So's that!" Dan nods to the screen! These are sex people Lynn!

No such thing as Celtic music for instance of course off the top of my head or you giving the Africans credit there? If thatâs the best weâve got maybe that answers the question as to why it doesnât have its own awards night... Poor comeback. Is one of dozens upon dozens of kinds of white music from all over the world. Maybe you should have thought this through a but more đ

Is there anyone here from the MGB GT community? And have you had trouble with TR7 owners?đ I am but I have the V8.......which puts me in a minority. I have a 1971 MGB, may be more of us than you know! Therefore you're being bullish over the minority. You'd better never come to the match in it now, there will be a pro modern car protest group.

What would âmusic of white originâ be, out of interest? Brahms? Beethoven? Nothing without a harpsichord in it. No such thing as Celtic music for instance of course off the top of my head or you giving the Africans credit there? Well actually...https://infiniteculture.wordpress.com/2011/01/31/on-the-link-between-african-and-irish-music/ There's lots of very interesting theories about cross influences in music - the idea of any musically form being "pure" in ethnic terms is complete rubbish - musicians learn from each other and pick up influences wherever they go. And the history of musical instruments leads all over the place - the bodhran for example is believed to be of either African or middle Eastern origin and it certainly wasn't invented in Ieeland. Award ceremonies based on a particular musical form are just exercises in self congratulation - whatever the genre. Its the music that counts.

Just wondering if we have any LGBT fans on here. If so, has there ever been a problem regarding your sexuality from our fans, away fans or on away days? And if you have, what could the club do to improve your match day experience? I'm not gay myself, Just curious as a lot of clubs have LGBT groups and as far as im aware, we as a club do not. Of course we have plenty of gay fans.Read some of the comments on the Bojan threads.

My sister is Gay and as she has said, never joined any LGBT groups never advertised that she is lesbian as she wants to life a life like everyone else and doesn't feel the need to advertise she is gay no more than I feel the need to tell people that I like cats, but that is another story In essence she lives a relatively normal life with her partner and just doesnt understand why anyone has to do the look at me Im different thing Ah so coz your sister is gay and gets on with it, everyone should. What other stuff does she feel folk should just get on with?

One of the tougher Countdown conundrums: I'm all for gay rights, but all them labels, of which a fair few mean pretty much the same thing is unnecessary to be honest. LGBT as I put as the title is surely enough.

No interest in an LGBT SCFC Group, just like the poster's sister above - I find no need to categorise myself, I live just fine, openly within society and do not need separating. We are all just Stoke City fans, regardless of sexuality/gender identification/foot fetishes/vegetarianism/eye colour.

I very much agree with the sentiments, however I see it slightly differently. A SCFC LGBT Fan Group isn't, per se, about separation or segregation. Like you, I've never really had an issue at the match itself (although I've overheard some pretty nasty remarks about gay people in the stands and the concourse in the past), but I admit that my husband and I are very cautious about how we behave and what we say at the ground. We're very probably being unnecessarily wary, but the fact that it's often been just the two of us rather than a group, we are a little more careful. And whilst I've never had a problem at the ground, I have been given dog's abuse in pubs in the past both before and after matches for having the audacity to, you know, be in there having a pint. Once a (very drunk) guy was incredibly aggressive towards me and I was asked to leave to 'give him a chance to cool off'. That's right I was asked to leave for just standing there next to the bar minding my own business whilst a pissed up fella threw homophobic abuse at me. Not one other patron stood up for me either. Must admit, that knocked my faith in my fellow Stokies for a good while. Times have changed now though so hopefully if that were to ever happen again, it would be him that would get thrown out of the pub and other people would have told him to shut up. Would a LGBT Fans group make any difference to making people feel more comfortable and confident at the games? Who knows, but anecdotally from such groups at other clubs, it seems that it would. Would I join them? Probably not (although I'm certainly not against the idea). As with other LGBT Fans groups at other clubs, no LGBT person is forced to join them; they can 'get on with their business' just as they always have done. It's just a fans group where people can come together and socialise and have a good time at the footy. Some will go to the match with mates they grew up with, some with their families, some will happily go to the match on their own and make friends with whoever they happen to be sitting with on the day, some will meet up with their fellow supporter group members beforehand and enjoy the match as a group; we'll all experience it however we think best for us. I don't see how a LGBT fans group differs significantly from having a 'Swedish Stoke Supporter Group' or an 'East of England Stoke Fans Group'. Some would join, some won't, and life goes on.
