This is exactly the kind of signing I want to see. Players who have something to prove, some hunger. Give me that over a premier league old boy who thinks he’s doing us a favour and coming for a pay day every day of the week. 30 years old... Wants to move back up North... Hunger or looking for one last payday closer to home? Be interesting to hear the managers rational behind this one. We’re knocking the negativity on the head now, Pugs. C’mon - have a smile, get behind them - imagine how good it’ll feel to be there from the start, god willing.

Scores goals at this level, is a fox in the box and a free agent. No problems at all

Wouldnt be a bad signing if done for a lowish wage in addition to a nippy little poacher type. Hopefully, we will be looking to get Saido, Diouf and possibly Afobe off the books.

Strange one and a potential blocker for Campbell. Strange, yes. Blocker for Campbell? Don't agree. Vokes, Campbell and Gregory would give us three different strikers. One target man, one Walters type grafter (both experienced) and one young poacher. I won't lie and try and say I'd predicted it or even suggested it but that's not to say it wouldn't work. The Championship is weird and weird stuff works sometimes. If he works harder than Afobe he's onto a winner before he starts and remember the last time we were in this league and promoted, we did so with Mama and Cresswell! We'll see if he signs. Signing 30 years olds wanting a move closer to home doesn't feel right to me.

11 in the league, played almost every game and 2 goals in cups. So 13 as FM says.

Jones doesn't seem to like pacey players does he? A 100m sprint between Gregory, Batth and Volkes would be worth a watch.

Yeah 10 league goals according to flash scores. 44 league games played. Wikipedia way off the mark.

Sounds like the type of character we need but doesn’t really fit in with Jones’ fast and athletic mantra. Hopefully he’s signing to compete with Vokes and we’ll sign another striker with pace and a better goal scoring record. Is Campbell that player ? He'll be back up surely, I suppose it all depends if he goes for 2 up top but I can't see Campbell being a regular starter next season.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-millwall-lee-gregory-27955354 Who, in particular, should Stoke be wary of this weekend? Richard: I would have said Ben Thompson, but he is out with a hamstring injury. A real shame, as he has been a revelation in the number 10 role. I’d pick out Lee Gregory. The striker doesn’t always get a glut of chances in a lone striker role, but has still got into double figures. His hold-up play is excellent and does a lot of hounding of centre-backs.

Like the look of him more than Powell to be honest.
Most of his goals on YouTube are penalties.
Sign. Him. Up.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him out on loan again if he did end up that far down the order, I can see someone taking a punt on Afobe, before this season he was well thought of, I guess it depends how much of a hit we'd be willing to take.

He sounds like he's good enough to be part of a striker pool and offer something though, certainly when you compare him to some of the shite we've got.

Some people seem to scared to critise but Vokes , Cambell and Gregory does not set the pulses racing and would certianly leave us where we are in the league now, with no goals. Hopefully he could be a Vokes replacement. We need pace and guile not a 31 year workhorse. pace , pace pace.

There’s nothing wrong with being 30. I’ll stick my neck on the line and say he’d do well for us, if there’s any truth in this. Solid if unspectacular but we’ve tried signing ‘the best’ and it didn’t do us much good.

Gregory on a freebie, that's shrewd as fuck by Jones. Not a back up but genuine compitition for vokes, likewise for Gregory, it should keep them both on their toes.

10 league goals and 7 assists is not bad in a poor side.

Cresswell was 30 when we signed him and Gregory sounds a similar type of striker. Free transfer, no risk, Millwall fans rate him highly - good signing.
