Surely Haugaard has got go down as one of our worst ever keepers. Absolutely useless in every game he's played. Will be very surprised if he gets another job as a pro

Has anyone mentioned the sending off in the Everton game, or did I miss that? Although you can argue that we would have stayed up had we won against Brighton and Everton (was a point enough?), the fact is we were terrible for most of the season and looking for excuses now and blaming one player for our fall from grace is a bit disingenuous. Goodbye Charlie and thanks for your efforts.

Fat Charlie.
On the upside: gave it both barrels more often than not and a peach of a left peg.
Conversely: walking red card on many occasions, his blarting after the effect about the issues in the dressing room in the relegation season yet doing nothing about it as a snr pro., that penalty &, most importantly / sadly - was he ever really as fit as he should have been to take advantage of his undoubted talent?
(Ans. "No".)
edit:
Fletcher. WBA saw us coming a mile off, as thye did with SB & JMcC and in reality we saw nothing of the player he used to be.
Haugaard. Yet ano on the undistinguished list of transfer cock ups. 'doing nothing about it as a snr pro' that's not the case, Adam & Fletcher at one point were engaged in fisticuffs with Berahino over his attitude at training

Another character gone then. Plenty who should be heading out the door before Charlie. Guess he is out of contract but from a PR point of view this is poor. Get Wimmer/Imbula/Berrahinho/Badou and 4 or 5 others gone before making announcements about releasing players that are actually still useful to us. Typical Stoke. jokers.
Thanks Charlie and good luck. You deserved better over the last 2 years.

Charlie was well down my personal hitlist. At least he had something about him.

I'm levelling it at him, he's just as complicit. How about getting fit? Not getting stupidly sent off? Scoring penalties or rebounds I could have put in? How about not whoring himself to the press and blaming everyone but himself? He's as bigger tosser as the rest of 'em.

Wonder when the club will confirm this and any other decisions like it.

'doing nothing about it as a snr pro' that's not the case, Adam & Fletcher at one point were engaged in fisticuffs with Berahino over his attitude at training I hadn't heard that tbf (hence the statement obvs.) but if that was the case, then good on him (& DF) that waste of space almost certainly needed / needs someone or something to knock some sense into him and make him realise what a priviledged position position he is in.
In the interview I referred to, it certainly didn't conclude that way. From memory, it was more a case of 'we told the management but they did nothing' which begged the obvious question, so when they did nowt - and as a senior pro., why didn't you step in?
So if he did, quite right too.
Don't get me wrong - I like Charlie for all his shortcomings and I think it will probably be a poorer dressing room and squad without him as an option.

Remember when Charlie Adam told Fabian Delph not to sign for Stoke?

Remember when Charlie Adam told Fabian Delph not to sign for Stoke? No mate but I do remember him posing a rhetorical question about it once.
