Mate, I was typing it while listening to the interview, didn't purposefully miss out anything. Why is the "game plan" to go in to a home game against a team in the relegation zone to defend? He said "First half we stuck to the game plan and we defended superbly well' I think he's hamstrung by the players he's inherited, but 4 months and in you'd expect some improvement. It was hard to see his gameplan today Exactly. That was what motivated my comment.

Bizarre. Slippery slope when you start singling people out when there is a collective group of poor performers.

I really want him to succeed here, so wont draw judgement until we're quarter the way through next season!!!
Today however, I saw him slowly start morphing into Rowett......some support may not be as forgiving!!!

Those did not sound like the words of the man of conviction I thought he was. "I've played the fans' favourite" as if it's a mitigating factor that he's acceding to what the fans are "clamouring" for... just sounds like weakness.

It was a godawful interview. Full on Rowett stuff. Disappointing. I have been a big fan of Nathan, but that was quite pitiful.

It was an interview from a man feeling the pressure. It was everyone else’s fault but his.
Very concerning.

Not quite Rowett post-Bolton stuff, but not a million miles off.
They really should count to 10 and leave it another 10 minutes or the wheels can really come off.

Waiting until 85 mins to bring subs on isn't a positive change. Needed Verlinden on much earlier in order to affect the game.
Was a terrible interview.

The Afobe substitution was hideous and made no sense whatsoever, we never recovered from it.

In fact some of his ultra positive interviews are probably partly to blame for his current predicament. He states in a very matter of fact way what we will and will not be doing, what the crowd will see etc etc ......and then it completely fails to materialise.

I honestly think he’ll walk. I wouldn’t want to manage these wankers. Not sure he’s a wealthy enough guy to miss out on a multi million pound pay out mate. God will look after him.

"We stuck to the game plan and defended superbly" at home to relegation fodder! That particular "success" means that we are not now mathematically safe, although as far as mathematics go, it's now only gd that keeps Rotherham from overtaking us, and we are about 19 goals better. It can be done, but it's extremely unlikely. On today's showing Rotherham deserves to stay on, and they still might, with five teams they can still reach above.

He was lashing out at everyone and everything. Sounded frazzled Very worrying interview. Are we really surprised? He's had it all his own way in his short period as a football manager. He's not had this sort of pressure before. It was inevitable if things didn't go to plan. I said at the time that we'd got it wrong yet again with our manager recruitment.

Lets face it, he's a born again Christian so he thinks everything is wonderful.
Born again Christians always seem to think they are on the right path and others are ignorant
That's what came out in the interview.

We can't be a club that changes their manager twice a year.

He has talked big about the future - but reality is proving to be very different. Probably not faced this situation before and panic is clearly setting in. To be fair to him there was zero expectation at Luton when he took over he was in a win win situation he happened on a decent set of young players probably selected by his vastly experienced mentor no.2 and it worked. Stoke is a massively different animal altogether based on where we’ve been and the players we have etc. I still think he was two jobs away from this type of club and scenario when he took the job and it’s showing. Replicating what he did at Luton is very difficult there’s no saying they won’t be rinsed every week if they stay as a team when they come up even if he’d stayed there. Personally I think he’s in the wrong job at the wrong time not entirely his fault as he was probably sold ‘the dream’ by Scholes n co with an offer he couldn’t refuse

When you are obviously livid at the shit you've just seen, don't do an interview, send someone else out to do it.
The guy was obviously incandescent with rage at the shit his team had just served up.
I think if he could sack them all, he probably would.
