He has to play Bauer. Good news re Indi.
I’d go with
Jack
Bauer Ryan Batth Indi
Allen Etebo
Bojan
McClean Verlinden
Vokes
You just know he’s going to play Clucas.

Far more likely but seeing Clucas on the team sheet depresses me as he’s so poor. He offers nothing. I can handle McClean because at least he tries. I actually think Clucas is alright at left back. I actually thought he had a cracking game against Forest.

Could Tre Pemberton do a job as a wing back if we go 3 5 2? I'm a great fan of Pemberton, but it would be outrageous to ask a teenage player to play that far out of position on his debut. No doubt he'll make decent runs down the flank, but you'd be asking him to defend as well, something he has not done, apart from being told to track back by his coaches. I can't be sure of that. I haven't watched all his youth games, so it's possible that he may have been inserted there on occasion.

Please not Clucas at right back.. I have a horrible feeling he may play Ashley Williams there. God help us..

Have to say Bauer was underwhelming when he came back in the side. If he does play even though he will understandably be rusty be looking for him to bust a gut to try and impress.

Because he clearly isn't impressed with Bauer and what other options right back or right wing back to we have?

Would he dare to try Diouf at right back?

Why has Adam fallen out of favour again? I would like to see him and Bojan in the same team to add some much needed creativity
Bauer - Shawcross - Baath - Clucas
Adam - Allen
Verlinden - Bojan - Mclean
Vokes

You'd think Bauer is 99% certain to play - but wonder if there's any thought of playing a younger right-back, given Bauer clearly won't be here next year?
Probably not - as right-back doesn't seem to be a position where there's anyone remotely knocking on the door from the youth ranks.
Thandi, the u23 RB has gone to Stafford on loan.
And Kieran Coates from the u18s has only just made the step up to the u23s.
With BMI available, got to be the underwhelming prospect of Clucas and McClean playing wide at the expense of Verlinden. Hopefully not, but looks likely
Butland Bauer-Batth-Shawcross/Williams BMI Etebo Allen McClean Bojan Clucas Vokes

He is the only creative spark available (barring Verlinden who we would need to see more of). He gets the ball forward.....Yes, that's right....Forward!!!!!

I doubt he will risk playing Verlinden given that Rotherham are very physical. That said Bojan must play for a creative spark?. Was his Luton team creative or hard working?

For a while there, we could all pick teams safe in the knowledge that the manager's selection would be not too far away from it.
After Tuesday's omnishambles of a clusterfuck, who knows though? Clucas will be found a place no matter what, it seems, as will McClean. Williams will probably be shoehorned in at right back. Despite zero creativity without them on Tuesday, Bojan and Thibaud will most likely watch from the bench (through their fingers, probably) as we struggle to carve out chances, at home against one of the worst teams in the league.
Jones seems to be going down the same rabbit hole that Rowett did. I just hope a summer rebuild revives him and us.

It might go completely balls-up but this is a time to experiment surely? Allen only gets the nod over Etebo because his work-rate is much higher to cover midfield alongside Adam & Bojan.

Does he return to a 352 if Bauer is out? Although god knows who he puts at wing back in that.
