Can't say I'd heard much, of anything, of him before he arrived. I was heartened by the outpouring of emotion from the Luton fans whennhe kett them, I don't remember the Derby fans being anywhere near as bothered about Rowett leaving. He's said the right stuff, recruited a couple of decent looking players and sorted the defence out. Along with that he's prepared to give most if not all some sort of chance to stake a claim for a place in the team (too much of a chance in McClean's case for me) including the yoof. I was pretty impressed shortly after his arrival and I'm even more impressed now, he'll certainly do for me and, finances permitting, I'll be lumping on as soon as I can for next season, I think we'll do well. He didn't recruit Batth or Vokes, what concerns me is that he keeps selecting McClean who is one of the worst footballers in this league and Clucas who isn't much better, I can not see what his plan is he appears to have abandoned the diamond, we have returned to binary football which we all hated under Pulis. 'he didn't recruit Baath or Vokes' - you state this is absolute fact

'he didn't recruit Baath or Vokes' - you state this is absolute fact It’s based on us being linked to both before Jones was appointed, but the manager clearly signed off on both of them, which is how the system is supposed to work. I’m not sure if Carpy’s bleating on because he thinks they were foisted on Jones (which they weren’t), or because Jones is unproven with us in the transfer market, or because he just has to have something to bleat about.

Just semantics re Vokes and Batth, if he didn't want them I doubt they be here. With McClean I couldn't agree more, Clucas I'm unsure about, he's been poor overall and was misguided with shushgate, hopefully the poor form is down to recovering from the injury and NJ will, again hopefully, sort his attitude out, that said I'd lose no sleep if he was shipped out in the summer. McClean I'm hoping it's just a case of NJ giving him enough games so he can't say he wasn't given a decent run, beyond that I'm as baffled as you how he keeps getting a game, best news of the window for me will be if he's moved on. Results/performance wise we're clearly a work in progress but if we eventually wind up watching anything like what we endured the majority of the time under Pulis I'll be one of the first complaining trust me

I love open, attacking football, but after all the 4 goal beatings we were taking, I'm well up for a spot of binary when it's clearly a means to an end rather than it being the preferred end.
The goals will come when Jones gets hold of the players he needs. I feel more confident in saying that now based on what I'm seeing rather than previously in blind hope based on his previous record.
I'm trying not to be too naively optimistic, but it's getting difficult.

You sound like a gangster from a Quentin Tarantino film. Hence the name Vincent Vega! You sound like a character from a horror movie.
