Assuming Shawcross is out do you move Bruno to the middle with ex Swansea player Clucas at left back or leave Bruno at left back and play ex Swanses player Williams?
Vokes should start Maybe bring Adam in and play the diamond?

I'd go with
.............Jack............ Edwards..Batth...Indi..Clucas ........Etebo.....Allen...... ..............Adam........... ..Bojan......Vokes..Verlinden
I've lost patience with McClean his effort is decent but his crossing is truly dreadful. Give young Verlinden a go now that we're safe.

Ashley looked good today. Leave BMI at left back, and Clucas in Stoke.

Clucas for McClean, Verlinden for Ince, Williams for Ryan, Vokes for Afobe.
Collins on the bench.....

Bojan right? I'd have them interchanging along the front 3. I think you lose what Bojan is good at playing him that high up, when he does play well he tends to be more involved than I think that would allow him.

Swansea are a very good home side who have an abundance of pace all over the pitch especially down the flanks. For that reason I’d move BMI to centre back and put Clucas at left back.Vokes for Afobe and Verlinden for Ince as well but whatever team we put out it will be a very difficult game for me

Butland
Edwards Batth BMI Clucas
Adam Allen Etebo
Ince/ Jimmy If not fit Verlinden Vokes
I think the key here is to stifle them through the middle by chucking Adam in as an extra body in front of the centre-halves, and hit them on the break with diagonal balls out to the wide options, with Etebo to play slightly in front of Allen and for him and the 2 wide men to get in and around Vokes if we look to play balls up to him.

As a lot of people here reckon Shawcross and Ince won't play the next game I'll go for this line up:
......................Butland...................... Edwards.......Batth...........Indi........Clucas ..................Allen.....Etebo.................. Diouf..................Bojan.............Verlinden ......................Vokes........................
Subs: Federici, Williams, Bauer, Adam, McClean, Afobe.

TP has made some pointers: www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-swansea-tony-pulis-2731642A little bit worrying as our soft middle was exposed when Blackburn started to have a go at us after half-time yesterday. With the game coming so soon after yesterday I expect Jones will make a few changes and rest players. Maybe he will give Woods another chance to prove himself. Butland Edwards Williams (for Ryan I assume rested/injured) Batth Indi (maybe rested and Clucas in) Woods Allen Etebo Bojan Afobe McClean

Butland Edwards Batth Williams Indi Allen Etebo McClean Bojan Clucas Vokes
I'd like to see Verlinden, but he seems to have gone conservative on that score again. So can't see him going with him in an away game.
So can see McClean on the right maybe, with Clucas left.

Butland Edwards Batth Indi Clucas Allen Etebo McClean Bojan Verlinden Vokes
I'd give Shawcross the rest regardless no point in risking it getting worse, I don't think it needs massive changes unless there's a few fitness issues.

If the opposition play with 2 wingers then we can control the mid-field with an extra player.

I'm not getting why people seem to want Clucas. He's not a defender so BMI would do better at FB, especially v the Swans who use rapid wingers. As a left mid he's limited too, as many of the Swans side know pretty well. I guess they know Ashley well, but he's a solid CB, and experienced enough not to be a weak link.

I'm feeling strangely optimistic. I'm not used to this. That'll soon come to a halt.
