Alright I admit it, Sir Tony Pulis was the Messiah for me (not just a naughty boy). What he achieved for Stoke whether you love him or loath him was quite remarkable. Nobody can question the fact he put us right back on the map. With NJ I get a similar feeling because he understands his market i.e. us the Stokies. He's come into a terrible situation like TP did but seems to be making small but significant steps to getting the house in order. Obviously it wouldn't have been possible but it would have been great if NJ had come in immediately after TP left. We'd be top 6 in the premiership every year by now. Lets all get behind him and give it all we've got because with all of us on board there will be no stopping the red and white army's march back to the promised land (intended religious pun).

There's certainly something TP'ish about 4 goals in 11 games and yet 8 without defeat.
A chip right off the bat of the maestro in the baseball cap.

The red and white army is rising and the winds of change are heading in westerly over the Welsh mountains. Or is that easterly, fuck me I am simple.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, at least it appears so on this MB regarding TP. Right now his popularity at Middlesbrough would be difficult to describe, so I'll leave it to there posters: fansonline.net/middlesbrough/mb/view.php?id=5888111For me, although we failed to score again, today's football was many times better than he last half season of TP. I know exactly how the Boro fans are feeling right now. I knew a Boro fan when I worked at Redcar, who thought life was better in the years they were in the Championship than the grim holding out for a result in the Prem. I bet he has changed his mind now.

I love NJ, but there will only ever be one TP! Thank fuck. We'd have had 11 years of this shit without TP, not to mention none of the facilities we have now (Clayton Wood etc.) Everything we have now was built off the back of the success he bought to the club.

The ingratitude really stinks. After all he did and this is how some treat the man. He built what we have, just ask Peter Coates. Stoke legend.

Well we will be Driving South to Millwall soon where a lot of our fans will be leaving at Daybreak for a day out, because after all it's the Good Times that we remember, and even though you have to walk a Tightrope around Bermondsey hopefully no Tears will be shed as Ince finally passes it Straight To The Man up front so the Love Spreads amongst the travelling Stokies.

In the world of football managers, that is praise indeed. It puts him in the same category as Revie, Clough, Shankly, Ferguson and Dalglish to name but a few " absolute cunts"

Ain't that the truth. 16 managers in 23 years failed to take us back to the promised land as we washed aimlessly around between divisions 2 and 3. Most people in the kingdom had long since forgotten we even existed. It was TP who finally took us up but much more kept us there in those fiendishly difficult early years. The Fa Cup Final, the European run, the long throw, Ricardo Fuller, let's all do the Wenger, crazy days He gave us our pride back. History will judge him kindly.

The club aren't doing a very good job so maybe us the fans need to grab hold of the spark of change that is NJ. The man who in my view is going to lead us back to relevance and beyond.
