You have just said it in your own sentence let me explain I quote HE WILL NEVER BE CONSISTENT BECAUSE HE WILL NEVER GET PICKED ENOUGH. That’s the problem as I’ve said in past he will not show consistentcy while on the bench. Let him play till the end of season and then judge him. He may not be good enough but give him the chance to prove either way. Regards other managers is a bit harder to understand but let’s face it apart from mark Hughes all the rest including nj up to press have been defensive and we all know he’s not a player for a defensive team. So until he gets a run of games instead of knocking him all the time reserve judgement and praise when he plays well like yesterday. Do you really think if bojan was good to get picked every week that a man who is desperate for goals and results and whose job depends on them wouldn't play him at any opportunity? I'm sorry mate but I'll trust the judgement of his last 7 managers and his last 5 years. Not interested now mate I'm done, he'll be gone in 7 games anyway. No point in falling out we don't agree, let's leave it there. He's got a contract for next season. If it was a certainty that he would be gone, then Jones would not pick him for the team he is preparing for next season. So...your wishful thinking is just that!

It's a funny argument. He earns considerably less than Shawcross, to give just one example, yet no one questions whether "can we afford to keep him next season given he'll be on big money for a champ club?" Shawcross would be gone for me too. That just won't happen. It might happen in 2025, but not now.

Like every Bojan thread, and there's been hundreds of them, after one or possibly two pages of decent exchanges about the player and the performances, some maybe somewhat over-exuberant, the thread then changes its direction and cease to be about football, Stoke or the player, but get to be about berahinosgoals exclusively, as he runs himself evermore into corners he cannot get out of. He just cannot stand the thought that these threads should not be about him, just look up any previous one, he never fails. Shut up you Pillock. What an absolute ridiculous assumption about why somebody posts on a bojan thread, "so it can be all about me" .. have a day off. It depends which direction you're coming from.. you've got a whole host of boj an bum boys including yourself that won't have a bad word said about him, that's why they drag on, look above. I tell it how it is wether you and bojans little bum chums like it or not. Fact is he's not held a position under a whole host of managers, Now you tell me that's a coincidence?? He's also done jack shit for scfc in 3 years, in the whole 5 he's been here he's produced 3 months of form. Now i know you don't like to hear it but it's true. Any other player they'd get stick. Tough shit. You can't even get your facts right about Bojan. You're just as much a waste of space as the plonker you named yourself after.

Picking Bojan on Saturday and giving him 90 minutes and seeing a performance like the one he put in will focus Nathan's mind on plans for next season.

Picking Bojan on Saturday and giving him 90 minutes and seeing a performance like the one he put in will focus Nathan's mind on plans for next season. I agree Michael. Seeing him strutting his undoubted skills for the entire game was great. In Allen, Etebo and Bojan we have the best midfield in this league when they're on song. A few tweaks to the defence as in a new attacking left back and we have the makings of a good side-to-be that should be pushing for promotion next season if we can get the forwards scoring. But that will come. M.

Picking Bojan on Saturday and giving him 90 minutes and seeing a performance like the one he put in will focus Nathan's mind on plans for next season. You would certainly hope so. Give him a target that will make the ball stick, just like how he played off Walters, and he will hopefully get even better. I really enjoyed Saturday. Bojan, Allen and Etebo worked brilliantly together and any one of the 3 could have rightly claimed the MOM award.

I admit that I was one of those who thought that Bojan had had enough chances and was not robust enough for English football. However, Saturday's performance was his best for a long time. I think we have a manager with a talent for improving players and the tactical nous to know how to use them.

The word consistent as you use can only be applied if played. Your hatred for bojan stands out a mile and sounds like you’d argue blacks white when it comes down to bojan. I take it you think Berahino is consistent. Oh yes consistently shit. You’re a tool mate n you should be at bottom of your grandads toolbox Zzzzzzzz. 3 months of form in 5 years. That's as black as black gets, not a bit of white in sight.... maybe I'm wrong? Tell me where I'm wrong? He will never be consistent because he will never be picked enough. Ask yourself why a host of managers don't keep him in the team instead of wondering why he's not the first name on the team sheet every week. There is only one group of posters arguing black is white on here and it isn't me. I don't hate bojan either, I've given up hope of him ever doing anything significant for scfc again. I don't love him either. Where you are wrong is that you’re looking at the past. On current form Bojan deserves to be given more opportunities to show what he can do. I’m not entirely convinced he’ll do it but: He was one of the better players on the pitch on Saturday He enjoyable to watch, he takes risks and yes some of them won’t come off but if we don’t encourage an element of risk taking we’ll end up with Rowett type football every week

We might need a bit more than that though Dave. Vokes is never going to score loads, so do we get another one in and let Afobe go as he doesn't seem to fit? One with real pace please...
I can see Allen going, along with Jack, giving us some much needed funds. Yes, we'll need to spend on a new 'keeper, but you'd have thought what we get for Jack will buy us a good one plus a left back! And maybe what we get for Joe will buy us a proper defensive midfielder to play behind Etebo and Clucas. I'd hope to have some change from Allen's sale that we can put towards a new striker, plus any money we might get for Afobe if that's what we do. Bojan behind a front two is mouthwatering but that new striker will be key. Issues around Wimmer, Imbula and Badou are too much for me to contemplate but we might be able to drum up fees to help our spending. I'd definitely be keeping Woods myself and think he'll come good. With a new First XI, we'd have Verlinden and possibly Campbell on the bench with Woods and Shawcross (I'd play Bruno, or look to buy a new centre back if he leaves as Ryan isn't the future and too similar to Baath in his distribution or lack of), plus a few more squad players who could play a part.

So forget his fitness then?
Bizarre how people who have clamoured for him to come back, have told us time and time again how long he's been out for, yet those same people seem to think that someone who HAS been out for that long can just jump straight back in and play 90 mins every week immediately.
You may want to take a bit of time to let your brain engage before posting next time mate
He played bloody well at the weekend (and long may it continue) but it will take time to get match fitness back. On Saturday Bojan gave Jones every reason to let him believe that he's nearly there fitness wise but it isn't 100% yet and will still take a while.
I can see why the Bojan groupies have been frustrated with him not featuring for so long but for God's sake, no matter how talented he may be, even you lot should be able to understand that he (or any other player) isn't capable of coming back in straight away for 90 mins a week, every week after basically no regular football for over 3 years?
He'll get there if he carries on like he did Saturday and we'll be all the better for it, but try to tinge your posts with at least a tiny bit of realism eh?

You're essentially saying everything I have said many times on here. However there are more than one way of working your way back to fitness. We have Bojan's interview by Pete Smith, which caused quite an uproar on this forum, where he stated that he had been given no explanation why he wasn't playing, not just under Rowett but Jones too. So I think you're giving Jones way too much credit in suggesting he's had a master plan for how to get Bojan back to fitness. It consisted of ignoring the player; sitting down with him and explaining this is how it'll pan out - that conversation never happened. Bojan's been sitting on the bench for several weeks, in other words, he was ready to play some part, starting with 10 mins, then 20 mins, then 45, but until the Reading game it didn't happen. Before you say Jones needed three other players to sub on, we all know that Jones, like Hughes before him, frequently only uses two subs per game, so it would have been possible to give him some match fitness, but he never did. But then Boj went over and played international football for Catalonia, and by all accounts did very well, and then suddenly Jones is out of excuses for not playing him.

A typical answer of a poster stumped for answers to support your argument (or fantasy). I'm happy to leave it there, another 7 games and he'll be gone anyway. If you want reasons to support the argument for giving Bojan a fair chance to succeed, which is all many of us are asking: 1. He came on against Rotherham and scored the equaliser. 2. Stoke were winning when he has come off in three of his five starts in the league this season, namely Brentford, Bolton, and Forest. We were drawing against Birmingham and losing the other at Hull, where in my opinion he was our best player for the first 60 minutes. 3. Yesterday he was a breath of fresh air making himself available for passes (which Ince does too little of) and making creative passes (which McClean is incapable of), yet Ince and McClean keep getting picked even when they play badly. I agree Bojan has come on for the last 10 - 15 minutes in lots of games and been ineffective, but Ince and McClean have played for hours this season and been ineffective. As I said above those of us calling for Bojan simply want the guy to be given a fair chance to get into match form and show what he is capable of at this level of football. That's a fair thought out reply, can't argue with much of that. Nothing to play for now so 'if' he's upto playing 7 in a row we have no reason not to play him I suppose. Im just sick of hearing about him tbh. He's made to sound like this magic trick that people rave on about that's going to change all our fortunes yet 2 managers have give him bit parts at best in a disastrous secind division season. He's had 2 loan spells where he made 22 appearances in total in 2 seasons in 2 different countries and scored a 1 goal. Clubs in Holland & Italy failed to extend his loans before he moved to stoke where he's had 3 good months in 5 years. The guy has forged his whole career on the back of being a Barcelona wonder boy and 3 months of form for scfc. Me personally, I think it speaks volumes that he can't nail down a place anywhere, especially in a poor underachieving division 2 team with players in it who are underperforming ( ince & mclean) yet still can't nail a spot. He can't nail down a spot anywhere, there has to be reasons for it. Jones' comments even today have the "if" about them, "if" we can get him to do this & " If" we can get him to do that... Me, I think he's a busted flush and for all we hear his name, bojan this, bojan that... the big picture is he's had 5 years here and produced 3 months of form, at what point do we say enough is enough the guy just isn't delivering? Risky business not getting a new first choice # 10 in in the summer if we are hoping for promotion.
