I think you may be overstating the occurrence and possibly underestimating the personal qualities of Bojan, including his resilience . The article that was in the Guardian was for some reason published in 2018, but it referrred to what happened in 2009. It stopped Bojan from winning more caps for Spain but that's about it. His friend, Andres Iniesta, suffered from the very same anxities, as described in his biography, and Iniesta nd Bojan were part of each other's support network. It also didn't stop Iniesta from having a glorified career. Neither player, nor any person, are a 100% cured, but they are actually goode xamples of people who were able to move on in their lives. It is a guaranteed that if Bojan was permanently insecure and emotionally unstable that the way he was treated by Hughes, who he trusted more than anyone in the game, and then Rowett and Jones, could have resulted in a nervous breakdown. It hasn't, Bojan has taken it on his chin, although he certainly looked downhearted sitting on the bench sometimes, but he got on with it, and when he appeared as against SU, he played as well as you could expect, which was better than just anyone else on the pitch that day. Just because he hasn’t had a breakdown doesn’t mean he’s not suffering still. That is exactly what I said.

Ahhhhhh... MH & his wank signings, and what was that? Giving them 5 year contracts. You mean, like, Bojan??? Genuinely interested and want to hear your thoughts and you come back with that. Like that was the only point I made wasn't it. And as for Bojan he has been let down by the club in my opinion by just slinging him out on loan. A guy with documented anxiety and mental issues and their best solution is to send him to places he doesn't know and has no social network. Yeah good one. Do you know that he was doing out in loan by the club, or was it arranged by his agent? Do you know that he didn't ask to go as way of getting vgame time? Did he have less of a social network in Spain and speaking Spanish at Alavez than he does in Stoke? Is being given the financial security of a five year contract letting someone down? Do you know those things as facts or are you speculating to fit your narrative as Bojan as a victim. For what it's worth he seems a nice guy to me - but it's not a competition for nice guys. The bottom line is he's someone with obvious talent but lacks consistency and fitness. And as such I really just don't get why people are willing to cast him as Joan of bloody Arc.

The only thing that is weird is people who can’t see that bojan is better than ince McLean clucks etc. He’s not a world beater maybe not the answer going forward but he’s better than some of the shit that starts week in week out and you know it. The only obsession is people on here who dislike him for no reason at all. The problem is that he isn’t better than those players these days. So you keep saying over and over and over and over again, but that facts tell a different story.

How many managers have to leave him out for people to realise. He’s not good enough anymore.

I wasn’t replying to you. How does that change the facts? If he’s such a good player then there will be plenty of interest and he will get a move to a decent club, let’s see who comes in for him.

Regardless of his abilities. The fact is he’s been dropped by his last 4 managers, whether on loan or not.
We have no idea of his mental state, his attitude towards training and everything else we don’t see on a match day.
Not all managers can be wrong surely?
He and half a dozen more need moving on and a new chapter starting.

Watching Bojan at his peak for Stoke City in the Premiership gave me a great deal of pleasure and hope for the future but unfortunately all of that was shattered when he got injured. I have always willed Bojan to recapture his true form and skill but it has never materialised. Successive managers have tried with Bojan but come to the conclusion they cannot give him regular football. He has been sent out on loan and again managers have not included him. We are now in a Division that is a tremendous physical challenge. Pace, strength and athleticism are the criteria our new manager is looking for. I would question Bojan's suitability for the challenge ahead under his present condition. I wish him well but I just cannot see him playing a role in our effort to regain our status in the Premiership. I have no doubt that Nathan Jones has come to the same conclusion as myself. Isn't really about time this Bojan debate came to a conclusion?
