So that’s you and Butland both crying because we’re not in the ‘big boy’ league any more. Dry your eyes mate. I know it's hard to take but his mind has been made up. I think perhaps more importantly the club need to sell to deliver on their backing promise to jones would appear to be the local media message

Alan Nixon saying Villa are close to signing a keeper. If it's Butland then I rather doubt we'll be seeing anything remotely close to £30m paid by a newly promoted side.

They’re meant to be loaded now. I think 30m is a very good price though. If someone’s willing to pay it then great but I’d be happy with 20m if anything above that frightened people.

Alan Nixon saying Villa are close to signing a keeper. They’re supposed to have put an offer in for Cardiff’s keeper haven’t they?

You've simply never lived. Stick telly on. It's on BBC1 in twenty minutes. Unmissable. The Daily Mail has reported that Nathan Jones is one of the contestants and Phil Jagielka might be one of the antiques on sale.

The Daily Mail has reported that Nathan Jones is one of the contestants and Phil Jagielka might be one of the antiques on sale. NJ looks to David Dickinson and says “I’ll be honest, this was good in its day but it’s showing it’s age a bit now, I think I can get better value for...” and before his sentence is done Gary Rowett knocks NJ over and says he’ll buy Jagielka for £6m on a 5 year contract.

Tricky one if as the sentinel suggests Nathan’s budget is determined by this sale , do we hold out until someone blinks or risk investing without the certainty of a sale , however it’s a situation entirely of our own making

£23 million is peanuts for a GK of JB’s quality and pedigree but unfortunately they also know the quality of our negotiating team. They managed to ‘sell’ an under contract player to PSG for free (and some half wits on this MB also thought it was a good deal) I think we will dress up £15 million as more with options and order a celebratory pizza! We could almost afford another a wimmer with money!

£23m really isn’t staggering these days. It’s amazing how Bournemouth can pay £19m for an unproven centre forward but not £23m for a proven international goalkeeper Fuck em Stoke ...hold out

I think around £23M is very close to the right valuation of Jack right now. Also remember that £5M of this will go to Birmingham.

Not really 1 Leicester , West Ham , Bournemouth , Crystal Palace , Watford ,Southampton all our per group 3 years ago aren’t Losing players seeking premier league football 2 None of the above are forged to raise money for FFP 3 Not all championship clubs are struggling to meet FFP 4 N0 championship clubs are struggling to deal with £50m of players acquired by a botched process last summer No amount of bleating will change the fact we are in the mess because we made an absolute Horlicks of investing £190million provided by brilliant owners .
