Do the decent thing and move the statues to the main entrance, all 3 are ridiculousl positioned, obviously with no foresight, Stand was put where it is so travellers on the A50 could see it, impossible now with the scrub trres surrounding it, Big Johns bust is used as a goalpost by kids on matchday, and Banksy’s position beggars belief

Moving Sir Stans might be difficult

I'd move Ritchie's but the other two are spaced out nicely IMO.
I walk past the Ritchie one every other week and forget it's there.

I like Gordons up at the top of the ramp - its got real prominence and is a feature.
Stans is in a fantastic spot and draws crowds every week
John Ritchie's is really poorly positioned though, stuck in the shade against a wall - that would deffo benefit from a move somewhere more public

I think the last couple of weeks has demonstrated that Gordon's statue is in the perfect place.

I think the last couple of weeks has demonstrated that Gordon's statue is in the perfect place. Defo, I go past it every home game. It’s in a cracking place on a main thoroughfare. Always loads of away fans having a looksy

the next job should be to move the away fans from the area adjacent the tunnel. WTF is the thinking regarding putting them there?

Personally I think John Ritchie's is ok right behind the Boothen End but would be better more central.

Stopping any argy bargy outside the ground You will have to explain that one to me please. There’s a big fuck off pen where the plod can contain away fans, isolated from flash points with Stoke lads. It was still a going concern when we moved there (Sheff Utd, Sunderland, Birmingham, Man City etc). If they were in the corner away from the tunnel, you’d have thousands of away fans mingling with home fans when they exit the stadium. Right or wrong, it’ll be a police decision to stop disorder. Even with the away pen, there’s been a few bits of mither this season with Brum etc. No way the plod would let them all out on the path behind the South Stand. It’d be carnage

Stopping any argy bargy outside the ground You will have to explain that one to me please. It's the easiest place for them to come in and come out without mingling too much with the home fans. It's the right place for the away fans on that basis. It's the tunnel that is put in completely the wrong place. No idea if it would be possible to move that though.

Thanks BCP and estokie86 I did not realise that, I never studied the issue. It appears to be a fundamental design or specification issue. I wonder who sanctioned it in the first place?

Jez Moxey 😂😂😂 We didn’t think it through properly at all! The layout of the Brit is opposite to the Vic. The new Boothen should’ve been to the right of the main stand for starters

It's the right place for the away fans on that basis. It's the tunnel that is put in completely the wrong place. No idea if it would be possible to move that though. Surely the obvious long term solution is to build new state of the art changing rooms, officials facilities, press and media facilities, TV Studio, etc. in the north west corner. The present changing rooms corner could then be developed into enhanced shopping centre, visiting centre including museum, hall of fame, ticket office, away fans corner, etc.

We're going to be absolute envy of League One aren't we ;-) imagine their faces when they come from their glorified bike sheds to play at our magnificent stadium. They might even be able to use their bank cards to make a payment at a bar ;-).

Personally think the statues are fine where they are

Why don't they cut the trees down by Sir Stans so it can be seen from the A50 Because you need permission to cut down trees and that would likely not be granted.
