My two sons and I will not be renewing. We were at Anfield for the LCSF and I thought then that things will start to deteriorate. I didn't think the deterioration would be so profound. Exacerbated by self sufficiency and lack of awareness of the problems the fans were seeing. Finally, simply being bored with the offerings on display. Not been a number of matches this season and frankly have not missed it one iota. Shame really as I have been going since 1963 and my two boys since they were about ten years old. Will you be going if we are in a promotion hunt next season? Your choice of course

10 years of relative success is bound to cause a change in supporter expectations, but I don't think in reality we're any worse than other club's fans when it comes to moaning. Leeds were a shambles of a club before Bielsa turned them around, and from what my mates tell me it was virtually the same as Stoke this year. Same when I sat in the Forest end this year when we played there. A couple of boo boys, fan favourites....ridiculous bias. I don't think this is a new phenomenon either, I remember Bjarni getting some absolutely dire abuse from fans back in the day. It might be slightly enhanced as I said because of the last 10 years, but I don't think it's been a seismic shift by any means. Very true How much abuse abuse did Walters get on here? Even before he kicked a ball some made their minds up. Even Danny Batth when we signed him. All clubs as you say have them. Norwich fans ( not all but many) were calling for their manager's head in September Personally think Jones will turn us into a real good side by August

For 15 years I’ve had 2 but this year I’ll probably just renew my own. The other ticket has always been for the wife or eldest but neither can be bothered to go. Must admit I’ve thought long and hard about my own decision as this season I have only been 8 games this season at home! Again yesterday I couldn’t be bothered to go. So I really did have to question myself when it came to renewal

in the same boat started off only done 7 I think at home all season, 2 since new year and only been to 4 of last 15 games in total.
before this season missed 5 in 17 seasons, now not bothered finding other things to do which I get more enjoyment from. so will probably renew but may well be it after that. sad but not getting any younger and want weekends to go places and do things more enjoyable than stoke at the moment may change we shall keep an open book

I'm not sure what good reason (other than financial or personal issues) there is to not renew really. Yes it's been a shit season but so was last season, why would you not renew if you are a stoke supporter

I know some people can separate football from the rest of their life but when Stoke are doing shite, generally speaking, it gets me down.

At the end of the day mate it's just a game and there's little any of us can do to affect the results. Try not to let it bother you, I'm sure we all have more important things to worry about!

Interesting, because after the LCSF I was certain the next season would be colossal and a trophy was on the horizon for us. Great fightback, away from home, loads of spirit and a fantastic performance. That said I defended the board and management for far too long, till recently I have probably been too optimistic and forgiving of many at the club.

This 100%.Too often now I come away thoroughly depressed, don’t speak to the Wife and generally am in a bad mood.We couldn’t attend the Forest game as we were at a family do— it was one of the more enjoyable Saturdays. The other thing is that there are some members of our team (not JM) whom the moment they walk onto the pitch make me want to give them the Edward 2nd treatment.

I'm renewing. Perhaps part of the issue with reduced numbers is that the links on the early bird email the club sent out don't appear to work!

I’ve said before get rid of the poisonous pair of tossers and actually get something that resembles fit for purpose staff and things will improve.
You can’t tell me our demise is down to their ineptness.

Lads, lads, lads...(sorry lady season tickeeeet holders)! If you dunner go to the game you’re as good as saying to the Mrs “here fill this time....it’s yours now” and then she will and then you’ll have to do shit!
You’re basically saying, “no, I have absolutely no traditions that are sacred! I know that I had Stoke and my game days with the lads before you, that you cannot touch FOR LIFE, but right now and I am surrendering it and you can fill it.”
Oh she bloody will! Just think back to when you played football at the weekend...when you stopped did she. To fill that? Like just anything, going out to just be in queues for no good reason, spending without getting anything that you can moan about to others in the same boat as you!
At least with a season ticket you can moan your bag off on this forum. There isn’t a forum for broken men that have to shop because they gave up their season tickeeeeets.

I would prefer not to renew but given that Stoke is in my DNA I have to..
The football is almost incidental..the match day ritual is what matters..mates/drinks..a good moan after.

This debate is getting on me tits now. Football fans love moaning at the match. Period. For most clubs, most of the time, the football isn’t great. Crap games generally outweigh good games. If I waited until I thought everything would be harmonious until I went the match, I’d never end up going. If you don’t want to go, don’t go. Fair do’s. Just dunna keep bleating on about it! Fair enough but don't you think that there's been a huge change in the general attitude of our supporters? Their expectations are absurdly high and the hatred towards some of our players is quite frankly disgusting. 1. High expectations? Wanting to see some attacking nous and a better return than 2 wins from 17 after 50m spent is hardly demanding. 2. Some of our players' attitude is disgusting. I can't think of a single club in the land whose supporters wouldn't be a little 'antsy' if they'd endured the three years of unfettered shite and decline that we've had. Especially as it comes at a time when we're richer than we've ever been before.

All I’d say to those who are thinking of not renewing is “Do you know exactly what you’re going to do instead?” If you’re not sure that the alternative is better, then be careful because you might be doing it for a long time.

Apart from the top five or six teams in the Premier League what sides experience continuous success? I've been a Stoke supporter since 1963 and really there hasn't been a great amount of silverware and success. I only know that Our time will come again and I want to be there when it comes. I have already renewed!

For anyone on the fence, I'd advise moving your seat to block 19.
You get a free joint with every season ticket purchased, great value for money. Stunk to high heaven on Saturday, as it does most weeks.
How the culprit gets in I'll never know, you can smell it a fucking mile off.
