I did try to find some positives today... but for as long as we're failing to do the simple things well, and consistently, this football club doesn't yet have viable management. After last week, no need to cut Nathan too much slack, nor would he expect that. A manager's first, most basic job is to send the lads out NOT looking totally bloody bewildered. Today, 75%+ of the time, we looked totally bloody bewildered. Kind of difficult to build anything in that situation.
So, 3* from me

Fair play for sticking with a winning team, however Tymon is a pale excuse of a footballer, and the substitutions were a joke.
Hopefully a lesson learned for NJ there.

2*
Truly woeful. If Adam is the catalyst we sorely missed him today.
The team just didn't turn up. Piss poor considering the quality available.
Tactically we looked all at sea and the fact we didn't have one shot on target, bar the penalty, says it all.
Back to the drawing board.

6*. Plus 3 for replacing Tymon quickly Minus 3 for replacing him with Sorrenson who did absolutely nothing for 45 minutes

Still not his players and unfortunately he’s still assessing the pathetic excuse of so called professional footballers.

4 - got it wrong at the start but did change the formation fairly quickly. It just seems obvious we don't have the personel to play the way he wants. He should have realised that.

Odd starting line up and just a woeful sub. Tymon off was right but should have brought on Ince or Bojan.

Tymon for Clucas was a mistake....and not in hindsight..as was not bringing in some creativity in place of Adam,Bojan or Ince would have been the options here. Poor substitutions too. 4

1. For everything he got completely right last week he got practically everything completely wrong this week. Tymon has been a horror show in every game he's ever played for us either starting or substitute. He's even seen how bad he is in the Shrewsbury game where he was responsible for 2 goals. Why on earth he thought starting him is a good idea I can't possibly understand. What's happened to Woods, he was the logical replacement for Adam? Why didn't we bring some more creativity on with Ince and Bojan? Sorensen was a wasted substitution and he was poor too. Looked miles away from the required quality.
It looks like we'd trained with Adam in the team as the focal point, he'd pulled out late with an injury and Jones flapped at the solution and with no time to practice it on the training ground, that was the disastrous result.

His excuses that we did well last week so we should do will this week doesn't sit for a guy who "does his research". Anyone who has watched even 3 Stoke games knows we don't do runs and we don't simply du well because of a win (here and there). 3 losses 1 win. Many goals conceded, few scored.
No tactics, didn't take responsibility, didn't realise the task he has. Nothing season maybe, but where were any of the tactics, the motivation, the drive? Should have done a triple sub and chained things, instead we went on to sub on MacLean and crouch....Zero shots on target. Has to be zero.

3* - it was obvious from 10 minutes in that we had absolutely no creativity in midfield yet he managed to keep Ince and Bojan on the bench - sheer madness

They said Charlie picked up his knock at the end of training yesterday. Obviously very late to change things too much but that system just doesn’t work without someone who can switch play and get the ball forward and why on Earth he thought Clucas could play that role is beyond me.
