Had Rowett made those subs and at the time he did he would have been slaughtered.
No need to humiliate Tymon. Make the change 4 mins later. Needless.
Taking Afobe off a striker for a striker when we were behind.
Leaving Bojan AND Ince off all match was plain weird.

0 You go with NO creative players on the pitch and hey surprise you get absolutely nothing in return. I've watched some absolute car crashes of managerial displays over the last few years and that was up with the worst of them. He got absolutely nothing right. But hey he's a young manager learning his trade and so as long as he wins 4/5 more games we should be OK. Let's hope for all our sakes he learns quickly!

*4 set up wrong in the first instance with Clucas in the middle, look at his past games there hes shit. awful treatment of tymon when he realised hed fucked it up. subs were bizarre. resorted to Hughes Lambert Rowett tactics of throwing on Crouch. i believe hes actually two jobs away in exepericence from taking on a job like this and should it go pear shaped this Oct he will walk

I did try to find some positives today... but for as long as we're failing to do the simple things well, and consistently, this football club doesn't yet have viable management. After last week, no need to cut Nathan too much slack, nor would he expect that. A manager's first, most basic job is to send the lads out NOT looking totally bloody bewildered. Today, 75%+ of the time, we looked totally bloody bewildered. Kind of difficult to build anything in that situation. So, 3* from me add * if you were there please Totally agree, why are we getting mugged by teams who do simple things very well, it was obvious from the start that Preston ' pressed us' and our defence was all at sea, the last goal was just abysmal defending, yet again we are caught on the break by pace. They were nothing special, but neither were the likes of Bristol, Wigan, Blackburn, Brentford etc etc. Why can no one get it right, other teams are are all doing the same stuff? We are a laughing stock. Jones - why can you not sort it - it's so obvious, what are you about? 3*

1. For everything he got completely right last week he got practically everything completely wrong this week. Tymon has been a horror show in every game he's ever played for us either starting or substitute. He's even seen how bad he is in the Shrewsbury game where he was responsible for 2 goals. Why on earth he thought starting him is a good idea I can't possibly understand. What's happened to Woods, he was the logical replacement for Adam? Why didn't we bring some more creativity on with Ince and Bojan? Sorensen was a wasted substitution and he was poor too. Looked miles away from the required quality. It looks like we'd trained with Adam in the team as the focal point, he'd pulled out late with an injury and Jones flapped at the solution and with no time to practice it on the training ground, that was the disastrous result. Strongly suspect that's right about Charlie.

5- Playing Tymon was a massive mistake.
Clucas is much better on the left than in the middle where he's anonymous.
Subs were poor.
At least he's achnowledged he needs defenders and a target man so he gets an extra point for that.

I’ll give a generous 3, but it wasn’t a good day from the gaffer. Very early days still, of course, but the continuing selections of certain players (both starting and as subs) is pretty poor.

-5 for NJ’s baffling team selection, Tymongate, omitting any player with a hint of creativity, poor substitutions, and dragging on Crouchy at the end
+5 for his Mad Leprechaun Dance of Rage when their second goal went in

Subs all wrong.
Expected the same result from keeping the same formation, which was very very niave.
I'd probably give Rowett a 2 but I feel like some of these actually tried a bit harder today.

3.
A real case of after the Lord mayors show, I'm afraid.
Barely created anything of note. Crouch again!!
Honourable mentions to Allen and Etebo. The rest were fucking awful.

Having had 20 hours to sleep on it. Its still utterly risible.
So a big fat 0 to match the zero efforts on goal in the first 45 against lower opposition, that is unprecedented in the 48 odd years I have been going.
Somehow managed to make PNE look like PSG.
The most baffling thing of all was he puts out a team with zero flair, and then when he needs to bring on a sub to give the crowd something to latch onto he leaves his two flair players on the bench and brings on Mclean. I contemplated leaving in disgust at that point, but it was pissing down.
