It's a sad state of affairs when you are getting sacked after 1 window.... more so when you bring in a manager who doesn't look like he will do better with the same tools So you're happy to write off a manager after two games? That doesn't sound very patient. You're basing the idea Rowett was magically going to change on nothing. He hadn't shown any signs of change, quite the opposite. If he wanted to pack the defence, he should have signed some pace and tried to get the ball forward quickly on the break, like he'd done at his other clubs. Instead he went for a tippy tappy halfway house and signed nobody quick (even the targets he missed out on - Davies, Chester, Huddlestone, Ritchie - are all various shades of slow) and it was the worst of both worlds. I'll let you have the last word, I'm (finally) done with this.

Just like I'd have done with GR. NJ needs a good summer, January & following summer to really stamp his mark, just like GR did. And considering the after shock of relegation to the players I don't think GR was doing too bad with what he had after 24 games of his first season. People really over estimated the quality of this squad

Of course he is.
Who, in their right mind, would match his contract let alone pay a fee to allow us to avoid total humiliation ?
