Hi all. Merry Christmas and all that. I know it’s the season of goodwill, but does that have to mean that we give points away without putting up any pretence of a fight? In all seriousness how long has Rowett got to turn things round, or is it too late do you think? Are the board likely to give this clown any more money to spend, given the amount he has already wasted on hapless signings like McLean? The team as it is doesn’t look any better than it did last season, and we still need the same key signings that we’ve needed for 3 years. If a change is coming, who would people like to see come in, or would they rather we stuck with the clueless one until the end of the season?

Hi guys and girls. Is there any inside and go on what the board are thinking and do you think Garry needs more time.
I was very disappointed with how he treats the supporters. I think k I prefer the way Pulis answered questions of why players were not playing. For example Wilson Palacios is not playing because it is to windy!! 😀

I hope you will be discussing how Bojan can be treated so badly by any decent employer, and finding out from PC when he is going to sack Rowett for dissing our most talented player!

Hope you guys have had a lovely Christmas. Rowett should not be allowed to continue under any circumstances and I hope he gets nothing but dogs abuse on New Years Day. All's I can say is that I'm disgusted with this club. Have a good show.

Rowett is clearly in the middle of some sort of breakdown, he needs to be relieved of his duties a.s.a.p to enable him to seek the help he so obviously needs.

Peter and John Coates must be so embarrassed by how far our beloved Stoke City has fallen in such a short space of time, through their mismanagement and poor judgement in recent years. And yet at the same time Denise’s Bet 365 keeps growing from strength to strength. They desperately need to appoint the right manager and Chief Executive this time to get them out of this complete balls up. The club is going to be drifting towards a massive downward spiral again if they don’t make the right decisions swiftly.

No point changing manager when the management structure of the club remains the same. Stoke City needs a radical overhaul in how it runs itself from top to bottom.
Putting any different manager into this club is the exact same thing as Rowett playing any different striker in the same constrained isolated formation - it’s futile and hapless.
Our club is like a stage production at the theatre with the ‘Football Manager’ being the same character within the same script that although he can be played by different ‘actors/football managers’ he is ultimately part of the same preordained story that ends in the same outcome.
Metaphorically we need a new ‘theatre director’ and ‘scriptwriter’ to create something new and original that will have triumphant characters who will be a hit at the box office and create a new box office smash.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is looking forward to the New Year with renewed optimism for our beloved team (and a new manager - although God knows who would take on the job that is any better what we already have).

Evening you pair,After yesterday’s goings on I very much doubt Gary Rowett has long left at our club, his comments after the game were nothing short of scandalous regarding Rory and Bojan. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not a member of the Bojan FC must play every game club but he surely deserves a little more respect than he got off Rowett yesterday. Yet again yesterday we had all the ball just like at Brum but like in most games this season it’s just meaningless possession or go nowhere football that we’re witnessing week after week. The football is so pedestrian and laboured and awful to watch. He either needs to take the shackles off or just simply walk away because it’ll only going to end one way otherwise. My other point is regarding the weasel that is Tony Scholes(or Lord Lucan nowadays),can you Ange try and get an interview with him to hear his views on the current state of the club and what his plans for the future are because the silence is deafening from him and the hierarchy lately.

The club is going to be drifting towards a massive downward spiral again if they don’t make the right decisions swiftly. The owners probably thought that there would always be three teams poorer than us- the likes of Burnley, Huddersfield and Brighton- and through a combination of arrogance and complacency, allowed the rot to spread unchecked.

I hope you will be discussing how Bojan can be treated so badly by any decent employer, and finding out from PC when he is going to sack Rowett for dissing our most talented player! Rowett was specifically asked about Bojans lack of game time and so his unbelievable and totally unprofessional comments were regarding bojan Pity there wasn’t time to ask the same questions replacing Bojan with Bauer, Diouf, Etebo and maybe a few more If we were playing good football, winning most games then stick with a winning formula We’re not I’m very disappointed that both Bojan and Bauer are not even making the bench However, the comments made by Rowett in his post match interview revealed a worrying side to his ability to manage at this level This club has a history of looking after its players, just ask Rory. however publicly criticising a current player who has recently praised Stoke City for helping him through some very tough times is not acceptable For that reason he doesn’t deserve our support

Hope you all had a merry Christmas, including Gary Rowett, despite the last two games which were uninspiring to say the least. However I do not join the chorus of execration descending on the head of the luckless Stoke manager. I am still of the opinion that the problems at Stoke are largely a hangover from last season and until Rowett can build his own team, and despose of the myriad of parasites left over from the Hughes/Lambert regime, he cannot impose himself 100%. Also required is the complete overhaul promised by Uncle Peter, and changes at the top such as the departure or reasignment of the deadly duo, Teflon Tony and his sidekick Hoss. Three new recruites are an absolute minimum, and I would suggest looking seriously at Mepham of Brentford or Worrall of Nottingham Forest, Adams of Birmingham, and Jarrod Bowen of Hull City with Vaulks of Rotherham another contender if the budget runs to four.

Get a manager who appreciates the fans and the players yet struggles to get wins then time will be given to that man. Get an absolute arrogance of a man who clearly it's his way or no way and shows no care to throw his identified team members under the bus constantly then that cannot be defended.
Gary rowett is not liked by the fans and he clearly doesn't like us, whilst the board may think hes doing a good job however when you look at the growing number of empty seats and reduced season tickets from March onwards this will show this club is in a terminal decline. Get a manager who brings a feel good factor to stoke and the crowd will stay, support, cheer every kick and love scfc like we know we can.
The board must decide.

I was quite happy when Gary Rowettt was given the job as manager and am not afraid to admit it - of course this season has been hugely frustrating on the back of a dismal first 5 months of 2018.
BUT
Whilst Rowett now looks like a startled rabbit in the car headlights it is clear that issues run much deeper than just who the manager is and have done for at least the last 3 years. The silence from the Board and Scholes has been deafening and they clearly have not learnt any lessons at all despite their protestations to the contrary.
Scholes and Cartwright still linger like a bad smell still and rather than cast our net wider we have appointed a second rate junior Tony Pulis and in truth we have not suffiently got rid of the dead wood that we needed to and have a manager who has now loaded us up with other people's dead wood.
Mr Coates will be always appreciated for what he gave us but in reality the club is now run as a Bet365 sideshow and unless the owners are prepared to put their unquestionably large amounts of money where their once publically large mouths were then we are in reality doomed to another 25 years of, at best, mediocrity.
Time to stand up and be counted

I highly doubt we'd get Che Adams from Birmingham I think he'd stay there and worrall is out on loan at Rangers so that's a no go that leaves Mepham who is a possibility but I don't think we'll be the only team in for him then that leaves Vaulks and Bowen my only worry with those two is would they improve the team or would they simply just be a squad player.

There is a huge divide at the club. The owners have no idea. The CEO has no clue, where is he? The manager is one of the most arrogant and delusional we’ve had in my time watching Stoke, he’s absolute poison.

Something more is going on at our club for me especially when you consider it’s not just Bojan and Bauer that have been ostracised but Diouf and Adam also. All big earners and probably all 4 will be gone in a few days time In my opinion Rowett is engineering his own escape route and a pay off for him and his staff, there’s no other explanation to the crap we’ve seen of late

Oh my, I've had to explain to grandma what the words meant in all that chanting. Anyway, if Bojan doesn't suit our style of play, then maybe our style of play is wrong. A few weeks ago I was optimistically hoping that Rowett was getting us closer to where we wanted to be. Now we're going backwards from a position that wasn't great anyway. Rowett's comments about Bojan after the match were unprofessional at best, and that's being generous.

The owners should look around Bolton's empty stadium yesterday and take notice. That will be the bet365 next year,if some drastic measures aren't taken !!

You hit the nail on the head when mentioning entertainment.
People spend their hard earned following the potters the length and breadth of Britain and when the product offered up isn’t good they’ve got every right to vent their discontent.
After watching the game yesterday I was genuinely bored.
The current manager is on borrowed time serving up this rubbish.

Happy Christmas from Steve and Jenneke here in Bulgaria!! (perhaps "Jenny" might be easier for you non-foreign types!)
We'd say happy New Year as well but with Rowett the Clown still in charge it will be anything but. I think everything has already been said about him that needs to be said this weekend - just a disgrace to the club. What must the Coates' think about his comments? Do they hear this? Do they know whatthe fans really think? do they care?
The system Rowett uses just doesnt seem to work - why is he so stubborn that he will not change to something more suitable to our players. Like I said in previous weeks, he is arrogant but very insecure - if he changes system he will worry that he will be seen as weak, and will see himself as weak!!!!
play a 4-3-1-2 (or 4-4-2 Diamond) with Bojan or ince (or even allen) in the hole.
As for Bauer, If he is not to be trusted as a right back, due to his alleged poor positional sense, then why are we not trying him as a right mid or even look to convert him to a winger/striker - lots of energy, pacey and wouldnt be expected to defend?
Or is it the case that Rowett just has a thing against any of the "fans favourites"?

I’ll be back for the last game of the season - I’ll be easy to spot because I’ll be the only one in the stands if things don’t improve significantly. I also have the lowest level youth coaching certificate which means I know the rules and I am not a pervert, so I could sit in the dug out if necessary.

Can someone enlighten me on what Bojan has actually done in the last few seasons, its not just Rowett that doesn't rate him, 3 or 4 managers before him didn't, including his loan managers

Ange. If you are convinced a change of system will improve results, why don't you ask him at the next press conference, why he sticks with the current set up?
