Derby fans must be laughing their heads off, we take their manager and they end up better off!
Frank is not doing badly for his first job is he? He’s been a winner all his life, have you seen that video of Harry Redknapp saying that Lampard would go right to the very top! Frank was a 17 year old kid at the time
Could you see us scoring 4 at a top of the table side and coming back to win from 3-2 down with five minutes to go?

I somehow don't think that Stoke was ever on Frank's list of "where should I start my managerial career" options
So all this "we should have gone for" becomes irrelevant

Let's maybe acknowledge the fact that we beat Derby with 10 men for 60 minutes then instead. Long way to go yet this season, Lampard and Derby have achieved jack shit yet....

We haven’t looked like scoring 4 in the last 3 games against really piss poor opposition. Millwall we created fuck all, Birmingham was a terrible display but today is worse than anything I’ve seen at Stoke for 20 years!

It would have been interesting to see what Lampard would have done with the money Rowetts had & the players we have.

I said Derby had got a much better outcome on this one.

He can attract players as he is a winner. What can Rowett offer? Dull boring football, crowd on your back , creative flair that can’t get into the squad and mediocracy.

Derby fan here managers come and go we have had good and bad in the end no matter how much they kiss the badge it's just a job for them. Now for us fans we have no choice it's our club we are there throughout. At the moment very happy with Frank we are inconsistent etc but the football is exciting most of the time. As for your manager I've been in your position I didn't rate him all the reasons are obvious I remember Jim Smith coming to derby I wasn't happy But one of our best managers I hope your next manager is a success

Long way to go yet this season, Lampard and Derby have achieved jack shit yet.... But why can't a team who beat one of the better teams with a numerical disadvantage at least produce some semblance of a cohesive gameplan against Birmingham or Bolton? Personally I think the Derby performance was down to the players feeling aggrieved rather than any 'Damascus' moment by our Gary.

Hey Frank, fancy becoming Stoke boss? There is a £50million warchest for you and carte blanche to bring in whoever you want as staff....

Had fuck all to do with Rowett and more to do with the character of some of the lads in the side.

Mind you I was so against Rowett I'd have had Mad Mick.

Rowett to the normal abuse and that derby had the best of the deal as we were paying for see the posts . My view was we either went elite Big Sam or imaginative Rowett was a hopeless compromise with no pedigree to do the job required .) see the thread 3 year contract

But Lampard showed that night he has a lot to learn. Let's see how the season pans out, if he does well at Derby then fair play to him.....

We weren't in the position to take on Lampard. Had we been in Derby's position or 2-3 years into the Championship, then yeah. At the time we needed someone that did know the Championship. Unfortunately we got a 21st century snake oil salesman that somehow managed to blag his way into a club that has spent the last 10 years in the Premiership with a bunch of clowns that have once again gone into hiding now the going's got tough.
