He just said that the mighty mighty potters are catching Leeds up in the championship, didn't know he was a Potter, he used to work down here years ago on BBC South today, and I also didn't know that his dad is Nigel Johnson on Radio Stoke, let's just hope that Roger is right.

Is this the Roger Johnson who occasionally presents BBC breakfast? What did he say it on and what did he say to make you think he is a 'Potter' ? He always looks like a Leicester fan to me!

Yes, the same Roger Johnson, on BBC Breakfast this morning, they were discussing years ago when Liverpool were top of Div 1 and Leeds were top of Div 2,and they both won their Leagues ( don't quote me on that one as it was only on in the background ), Roger said " yes, but the mighty mighty Potters are catching Leeds up, I had to stop it and rewind to make sure I had heard right, a quick check says he was born in Stoke-on-Trent and his Dad is Nigel Johnson , must be where he gets his inquisitive questioning from.

Fair enough. I have watched him for ages but not quite managed to place his accent. I've noticed he knows his football but I've never heard him plug The Potters. I'll add him to our 'celebrity fan' list and never mistake him for a likely Leicester fan again !

We had a really nice discussion on Roger over on EE last month - a few Oatie members have met him, and had only top things to say about him and his very clear support of SCFC. If you want to have a look they're on here: Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/283872/roger-johnson#ixzz5ao363SoI
