Manager prefers to spend big money than coach players.

This Berahino love in. Campbell needs a chance

To be fair, he looked nowhere near ready in his appearances last year.
Obviously this was in a league higher, but has he improved that much since? Genuine question as I really don't know where he is up to at the minute.

He will get a chance alright. About 4 games from the end of the season when we have nothing to play for
Agree with above, Crouch is too old and with having him on the pitch we are predicable, Diouf couldn't hit a barn door, Bera can score if it's a tap in from 1 yard out but anything else and it's woeful and Afobe would be ok I think but is lacking confidence, so Rowett give the kid a go got to be better than the 4 current options

See how he goes against the men at Vale...
Reports suggest that he doesn't work hard enough - a poacher which is a bit of a luxury these days

It’s called lazy bastard management. The lad is scoring goals for fun. He’s young, hungry, raw, fast and seems powerful. Get him in the side and give him a chance. But play him with someone and not 50 yards away from anyone where he has to chase down pointless balls

I'm led to believe the manager doesn't have enough coaches in his backroom staff to be able to dedicate enough time to improve younger players...

How will he make any difference when we aren't creating chances?? Exactly the major issue is the formation and game plan.

think he has now scored 6 in 12 this season. Also scores a variety, tap ins, headers, shots from distance... gotta be worth 15 minutes at the end of a game???

Saido is playing well and Afobe was excellent early on. Might get a bench place but the manager clearly trusts Crouch.

Not to be a party pooper but is he actually good enough or ready yet?
And surely it’s not so much a ‘love in’ with Saido as he’s playing well enough to stake a claim?

Berahino has to start as the main striker for a good run of games now
He showed glimpses of a decent striker on Saturday
He deserves a fair crack

20 goals in 39 games... he deserves a chance on the bench!

None of them do, Afobe who was supposed to guarantee goals is on a run that’s drier than a nuns crotch!

Saido is playing well and Afobe was excellent early on. Might get a bench place but the manager clearly trusts Crouch. Define 'playing well'. He scored a goal 6 inches from goal and did very little else. He's still massivley owes this club and when I read back page headlines quoting him saying "it's not been easy, but I'm back now" I want to slap the ovepaid clown.

Would definitely have Campbell ahead of Diouf in the pecking order.

Thought he played really well in Saturday, bar his comedy shot that went for a throw in. Made numerous intelligent runs behind their defence, tracked back, laid the ball off well, got himself into the box and the six yard box even (hence his goal, you only score a tap in because of hard work no Kenywnne style fanning about thirty yards back) all despite little service. Essentially he put in the kind of performance he wasn't doing when we signed him. Hard working smart and skilful. Just needed a Bojan playing behind to supply some bullets.

If transfermarkt is to be believed then his contract is up at the end of the season (is that definitely right!?)....if he's a good a some people reckon then he really needs to be getting a sniff of first team football soon or else he's off

Is our Manager thick enough to make the same mistake twice? He's already been made to look a fool over Edwards.
Campbell should be on the bench. Relying on Crouch (who I love but is far too old) is pathetic short sighted management. Haven't we had enough of that kind of thing for 15 years?

He had a good game on Saturday beyond his goal. He led the line well, he linked up with the wide players well, his movement was good. What he actually said was it'd been tough but he'd come back fit and able to show what he was about and that he hopes it continues. Not sure why the pitchforks are out over that...

Obviously, he's a good young player, England U20 International. Why bring in Martina who is an absolute camel? A loan wasted. Now we're looking at bringing other crap in because another camel (who we're committed to the tune of £12million) isn't good enough.

To be fair have to agree that Berahino still 'owes' the club. He's been alright this season though. More goals please.
