Best story I heard was about some Stoke lads banging his daughter at his big Alderley Edge mansion and getting chased off by him in the morning.

Week 36 and the gilets jaunes were still protesting in towns and cities across France
This was Montpelier yesterday but there are similar videos of several other cities.
The police and CRS are continuing to use the baton charges and tear gas against the crowds. There was also a video (which I can't post for some reason) showing tear gas being used in Montmartre amongst a lot of tourists.

How do you know that a minute earlier that person didn't smash a brick into a police officers head or something similar? Not conclusive enough without more content.

I don't know but I do know excessive police thuggery when I see it. It does seem pretty representative of the police actions and violence that they've used throughout most of the gilets jaunes protests, although there are no reports of any more serious injuries. There's also footage available of the protests in Paris, Lyon, and a few other cities yesterday and the police were also using baton charges and tear gas yet again. Macron's approach to the problems just doesn't seem to be diffusing the situation although there does seem to be less protesters taking to the streets over the last few weeks.

Is it still mainly" anti Macron" ... even after his " concessions"?. what are they asking for?.. Even if it is not in our media, surely it's headlines in the French media...is it? Is there any anti EU feeling?

My French friends tell me that it's the same as it's always been Big John - primarily anti-Macron as his "concessions" were really in name only and didn't address many/most of the gilets jaunes perceived issues. They stated some months ago that the protests would continue as long as Macron was in office. There is some coverage in French media but it's certainly been reduced and is now mainly on social media. There are a couple of politics shows on French tv who do interview some of the gilets jaunes from time to time but overall their "voice" has been diminished. There is also a continuing undercurrent for Frexit but this has been "put on the back burner" somewhat pending the success or otherwise of Brexit, which they are watching very closely. There is also some liaison with Italy over a possible "Italexit".

Mainly hooligans jumping on the bang wagon and ruining what was a legitimate protest. Hence why coverage is hardly worth anything now. Basically a bunch of losers soon to be forgotten. ... And they don't give a shit about Brexit.

And they don't give a shit about Brexit. That's not the story I've been getting from France at all but as ever I guess it comes down to opinions, and who's giving us the info. I think to call them a "bunch of losers" and "hooligans" is totally incorrect although there probably are some hooligans joining in as is always the case anywhere. The video footage has been pretty consistent throughout the weeks of protests, showing police attacking and injuring protesters, with thousands injured and seriously injured, and more than ten dead. I'm not supporting their cause, just relaying the info I've been told and sent. It still doesn't excuse the total lack of coverage in the MSM when there's been instant and consistent reporting on similar instances elsewhere.

Just back from a great holiday at a Gite on the border of the Lot-et-Garonnes and Gers, about 90 mins SE of Bordeaux
We were in the middle of nowhere so no surprise that GJ didn't feature highly & we don't bother with TV or Papers when we're away.
Did see a couple of small protests, one a Motorway bridge somewhere on the A20 between Limoges and Brive and one on a roundabout just off the A62 towards Bordeaux.
Got to love the old French spirit of buying French cars, eating French food, shops closed on Mondays & doing things the same old way but things are definitely changing around them. Even in the sleepy south-west the supermarkets are opening on Sundays now, Aldi's are cropping up everywhere (but still amazing how quiet they are inside compared to the UK), the village Boulangeries are closing and being replaced by Bread vending machines (I though the Gite owner was winding me up but it was true). Even Dacia seem to be selling well with lots on the road, everybody has to cut their cloth accordingly. The new McDonalds in one of the local villages (Nerac) was totally deserted at mid-morning on a Saturday though so that did make me smile. maybe we should all be a bit more French!

Week 42 of the gilets jaunes protests across France - still no MSM coverage. Footage of some riot police being treated for the effects of their own tear gas near Sacre Coeur. The protests are continuing but they don't appear to be achieving anything now other than some disruption. Macron is "uncomfortable" with the situation but not under any real threat to his position.
How much longer will they persist ?
Small GJ protest yesterday in Moscow !

Would never expect them to. France is only interested in France and if they can screw us at the same time all the better. One of our “friends” in Europe....don’t make me laugh.

I've just tried several times to post an update on the gilets jaunes situation but have received a message from ProBoards that I've been blocked from posting any tweets or links on the subject.
12 months after they started and the protests are still continuing, rightly or wrongly, but it seems there is a continued news blackout on this situation.

I tried several different tweets and links all relating to this weekend's protests, and I got the same response every time ! Whether people agree with the gilets jaunes protests or not, surely there shouldn't be a ban on any mention of the situation should there ?
