Martin O Neill and Roy Keane have stepped down as managers of the Irish Football team.As an Irish Stokie this is great news and also shows how much we dodged a bullet last season.Ireland don's have a great pool of players but under their management we wouldn't score in a free brothel.

ONeill seems to be a spent force. Keane is just strange.

Just wondering anybody think O neill would get more out of our current squad than Rowett. He was approached over the job before Lambert & apparently turned us down.

He was approached over the job before Lambert & apparently turned us down. 10 years ago probably but he has stagnated in the last number of years and should just stick to punditry now.Keane wouldn't be a bad bet to frighten players into working hard for a season but he eventually falls out with himself(and everyone else).

He took Ireland to the World Cup play offs, so at the time he was succeeding above their level. But with the departure of their true class players like Walters, Whelan, Keane and others, he has had to start again from way below that level.

O’Neill’s brand of football is completely void now and Keane is a miserable, psychotic wanker.
So right up our chairman’s street really.

No. Really like O'Neil as a man but as a manager his best days are well behind him. Keane is just a lunatic who no sane club should let anywhere near a managerial position.

Tough job for any manager, the current Irish squad is probably the worst it's been in decades. Hopefully, you'd like to think that with some fresh ideas that squad could play far more positive football than they have of late.

Their time was up after the debacle of the world cup playoffs. It's a real shame we gave them another contract whereas any new manager will now have no friendlies to work with the players before the Euro QF's start. Stoke dodged a huge bullet not taking this disparate pair.

He won’t get another Premier League job now surely.

Do you actually support Stoke City?

Pardew and Sherwood likewise.

As soon as managers get linked to the Stoke job then suddenly become mightily wank.
Rowett's Derby was 2nd in the league when Stoke were after him and they almost missed the play-offs
Is QSF still in work by the way?
