It just goes to show how far removed from all reality these people are. They all want shooting as they're a toxic influence on society. Deluded the lot of'em

Deluded the lot of'em How has the poor man managed to survive on a paltry £2.5m per year salary. God knows how he's managed to make ends meet. no wonder he needs a bonus. Perhaps we should have collections at all football grounds for him - he obviously needs the money far more than the millions of paying fans on the minimum wage or even less.

He's earned the clubs untold millions. It could be argued he deserves a bonus. Figures are obscene though.

When I do my job successfully I'm rewarded with a monthly paycheque and I expect nothing else because THAT IS MY JOB. Since when did a normal worker earn his employer shit loads of money and get paid a bonus equivalent to 2 years salary. These type of people make my bloody blood boil - its all self self self and greed greed greed. He'll retire, get his £5m handshake and walk into an "advisory" role for a few hours a week for someone else for hundreds of thousands a year. Sums up the shortness of modern society This in an age when thousands are living on the streets.

The Premier leagues awash with cash. Why the fuck are they sending round a begging bowl And if the clubs have to pay why the fuck do Huddersfield have to pay the same amount as Man City
The whole thing stinks but I’d expect nothing less from the greedy bastards running the game these days

Don't see a problem in him getting a bonus. The figures are ridiculous but when the 73 year old union leader has a package of £3 million for doing the square root of fuck all I'd say, on planet football, it's par for the course.

And if they don't want to, they don't have to.
For all the billions bought in during his tenure, of which we ourselves have been big beneficiaries of, i don't think £5m collectively is such a big issue.
Unless, of course, you don't think anyone should have a nice whack

Peanuts compared to some directors's bonuses. Didn't Persimmon's chairman still bag 15M the other day, having had to decline 75M? If that's the market value then that's how it is, we would only have to employ someone inferior otherwise and that would mean the league wouldn't be as successful. Director's salaries are obscene and have always been.

He got very healthy contractual bonuses based on the deals he did. This is some sort of parting gift, dreamt up by that loon from Chelsea. It's distasteful at best. The top flight may be healthy under his watch, the rest if the game at all levels is pretty much on its arse.

£250k is very small beer for Prem clubs...but significant for lower league, non league and grass roots football. Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of giving Scudamore a "present", don't they get the irony?

Collect the £5m. Pay for his leaving bash, get him a nice present, spend the other £4,999,500 on lower league football or give it to charity

At least we don't have to pay it despite being there for 10 years. Cardiff have been there three months and have to pay 😅

Cardiff have been there three months and have to pay 😅 I suspect the Coates family would gladly cough up 250K to be a mid-table in the Premier League, instead of where we are right now. Relegation is likely costing them 10s maybe 100s of millions.

This is obscene back-scratching and only further fans the flames ignited by greed. If Scudamore was any sort of a moral man he would donate the lot to charity - or at least to lower league football. Disgusted.
