Always moaning about players diving and play acting shown himself up proper tonight, before I say why I just want to say that in no way do I condone the hearts fans behavior but how the hell can he expect to wind up fans at a local Derby and not get a reaction. So one of them throws a coin which hits him in the chest and after a couple of seconds working out his 'routine' falls to the floor like he's been shot by a sniper holding his face! When called out over it by a journalist he said it hit his face then bounced onto his chest
Pathetic! UTV

Let’s be honest here ...You’d love it if a stoke manager did this
But she told him at FT 😊

Nobody "deserves" to be hit by a coin at a football match = and I hope they find and prosecute the guy who did it. Having said that, Lennon's incitement of the crowd means he comes closer to deserving what happened to him than anyone else at the game. What a pathetic individual he is. I'd be ashamed to have him as our manager.

Lennon is as much a thug as the bloke that threw the coin. Ban them both.
His actions were pretty disgraceful and he is clearly a colossal wanker.

Not the brightest way to celebrate, a coin ? The way he goes down makes it look like he got hit by a sniper!

The guy is a prat but I'm not sure coin throwing was a proportionate response. I fail to see how coin throwing is ever a proportionate response at a football game.

Time to go contactless, coins are such a healthy and safety risk they shouldn't be allowed in football grounds.
Poor Mr Lennon could have lost an eye.

Two things: 1) The person who threw the coin should be found and prosecuted; 2) Lennon should be given a touchline ban for a few games. There is no need or excuse at all for what he did - and a big difference between that and celebrating a disallowed goal

Correct... He was asking for it (despite his claims today that he wasnt) but it still doesn't excuse the person who did it

Lennon should count himself lucky it was only a coin. There's a Pacific Island where the natives use carved boulders for money. Imagine if a visiting Yapese Hearts fan had chucked a 4 foot rock at him...

He's one of those managers that as an opposition fan you hate but as your own manager you love because you know he is full of passion. Wasn't the cleverest thing to do goading the fans but fuck me, he takes some shit and all of a sudden he gives it back and he's slated for it.

he shouldnt have goaded the fans , there is no love in that game but chucking a coin is well out of order, I like him overall , his teams always try and play decent football and he has generally done a good job , certainly very good at Hibs . I might be on my own but I'd much prefer him to a dullard like Rowett

Sorry I kno this thread is on its way down and probably not many people give 2 hoots but I need put this on. I’ve just read Lennon is considering his position due to the abuse he received in the edinborough derby, and he’s said it’s because he played for and managed Celtic, is Irish and catholic. Now that is fucking bollocks my friend. Bringing religion nationality politics all sorts into it because some fan was pissed off the way he goaded them for the disallowed goal. See this all too often in all walks of life. It wud of happened anywhere, because of the way he acted. Classless, disrespectful. Sure every1 agrees but needed get it off my chest. Boiled my piss
