Awful condition & embarrassing to both Spurs & the FA.
Ultimately it's Spurs fault as they should of long moved out & been playing at their new stadium by now.
The FA still don't know when Spurs are officially moving out, they should be fined accordingly as have clearly fallen behind with their plans.. Or made them play at another ground to penalise them for the mess they've created. Sure they played a league cup home game at MK Dons. The FA have already exempted them from the ruling that clubs are only allowed to play their home games at one stadium in a season. Whole things a farce!

The crap that is NFL totally ruined the pitch. Please keep the NFL where it belongs in the USA.
The Spurs Citeh game a great start but hard to watch on the damaged pitch.
When Rugby played on British pitches they do make it hard to tell where some pitch markings are but this is ridiculous.

NFL events were pencilled in way before.

Could the additional lines not help with offside decisions?

I'm sure the FA would let a smaller provincial club than Spurs get away with what they're getting away with.

Could the additional lines not help with offside decisions? Interesting theory. An alternative to the present set up I've always thought of is to introduce an extra line midway between the halfway line and goal line, in effect breaking the pitch up into quarters. This leading to a player only being offside if caught in this newly created last quarter. The Subbuteo pitch carries this extra line as a guide of how it would look and I'm convinced it would work. It would make the linesman's job easier for starters and prevent defences pushing up to the halfway line as frequent allowing more attacking football.

They did that in the old NASL, don't know if it worked. Worth experimenting with.

I like it, but how often is a player caught off-side outside of the "last quarter" anyway?

When Rugby played on British pitches they do make it hard to tell where some pitch markings are but this is ridiculous. Couldn’t be more wrong if you tried. The NFL fixtures have been booked to be played at Wembley for at least a year, it’s not the NFL’s fault in the slightest, it’s the fault of Spurs and the FA.

Aren't Spurs planning to share White Hart Lane for several NFL games once WHL is finally open? If so, then the state of the Wembley pitch last night may give them second thoughts about the wisdom of doing it? Trouble is that NFL, like our Football, is played in the winter - which is the worst season for the two sports to ground share. In fact I suspect that more and more NFL games are played on artificial pitches in the USA because, apart from the games played in the south of the country, the winter weather is such that grass is not a good option even if ONLY NFL games are played on the pitch.

Sounds like White Hart Lane is going to be what Wembley should have been. A retractable grass pitch with an artificial alternate doesn't just mean it is easy to play NFL there - it also means that large amounts of events like boxing, concerts etc. etc. can be staged without any worries. Well done Spurs. However, I have a feeling that it will be a new manager who gets the benefit with Poch being the #1 target for Real Madrid.

Does anybody actually give a shit about the nfl? You constantly get it rammed down your throat on sky sports news like it's some big event. Is there an actual considerable British following. It's a pussy boys rugby is it not? I couldn't name one single player or in game 'phrase' myself.
Great advert for it though a high profile premiership game being played on an nfl pitch
