Or it was a dogged backs to the wall performance that you need now and again in this league 🤔

Who says I'm not? We really shouldn't be hanging on in this league though should we? Given we've spent over £40million?

Sometimes all that matters is getting the win and it really doesn't matter how you do it! Let's face it, we've not had much luck over the last couple of seasons and some could say, why hare around all over the place, knackering yourself retaining the ball just to 'Up' your possession stats?! They're just bitter their run came to an end! GOARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRN STOKE!!

West Brom are still streets ahead of us with a rookie manager. Maybe so but they just won 4 and drew 1 of their previous 5 and were at home. Never an easy place to go. For some people on here it’s all about the result when we don’t win and all about the performance when we win. Backing up a comfortable home win with a backs to the wall 1-0 away when is exactly what gets you on the move in any division, but especially this one. It’s just not possible to play well every week especially in these periods where we’ve played sat/tues/sat/weds/sat/tues/sat, to come out of the last two games with two wins is great. Good fitness, bit of bottle, 6pts.

Since we've basically outplayed 3 sides away from home this season it's about time we got a win. For the people who said we were 'lucky' Can't recall Norwich having any clear cut chances. In fact Joe Allen had the best chance in the 2nd half

And that ordinary Norwich team had won 5 and drawn 1 of their last 6 games.

I see the people who backed themselves into the "Rowett is wank" corner are still fighting for their lives.

If we'd had these stats and scored in the 90th minute I'd say there'd be a case to be annoyed, but we got a goal relatively early on and went backs to the wall which, if it gets us three points, you can't knock.

Well considering how little Butland had to do, I'd say that makes them pretty ordinary. They didn't have anyone in their team that stood out. West Brom seem to be adopting an approach whereby the opposition need to worry about them rather than the reverse strategy that we seem to be employing. In this league, with our squad, we shouldn't be having 31% possession against anyone.

But as I said, and you conveniently ignored, before today they were very much the form side in the division and flying. I think prior to the game today every one of us would have taken a battling draw. Three points is a bonus. I intend to get pissed to celebrate.

That was a win straight from the Tony Pulis Playbook. The sort of win you'd expect from Rotherham rather than the highest spending team in the division.

Too many fans amongst us expect instant results and to play consistantly like Barca every week. Too many expected Rowett to hit the ground running and get instant success from day one. Those that have been here before know that you have to grind your way out of this division, one way or the other, route one or tikka takka whichever is needed. Today GR decided to park the bus and it worked. Take it , have a fortnight off and bring on Brum.

The result was deserved and lucky.
The team battled brilliantly and contained a very aggressive Norwich, neutralising all their effort to such an extent that Butland really didn't have a lot to do.
Conversely, Norwich can justifiably feel they were unlucky to concede an own goal.
