His signings haven't been bad
Afobe woods ince McLean seem decent
But if we lose to Rotherham , he is going to in trouble , big time

Agreed. You don't give those kind of blood and thunder displays to claw your way back if you're basically going on strike. I think a lot of people have forgotten how bad we were for the last 18 months or so. It's not as if we have a team of world beaters that have suddenly downed tools, they're simply shit a lot of the time and have been for a long time. As Lawro just said on Radio Stoke, we badly need players in and badly need some out. Although they are still problems of Rowett's own making, as it's him that didn't address the right areas with transfers (unless Lawro was right with how he was forced to not touch the defence), i don't think he's lost the team at all. Playing with a bad hand and seemingly has no clue how to play granted, but don't think he's lost the dressing room. They're just shit in general. What do you mean 'forced not to touch the defence' ? He's signed two fucking defenders for a start. The job is far too big for him. Fuck him and his band of shit coaches off now. Lawro said he'd been told that when Rowett signed he was told they'd get him midfielders and forwards only as he didn't need to touch the defence. Hence him not going big on anyone for the back. Not me that said it or my opinion mate

For anyone who wants to listen amongst all the bollocks on here, the club is rotten ok. It’s run by a bunch of people who always think they know better. How about employing some proper football people with football knowledge and stop tying managers hands behind their fucking backs. Now of course rowett isn’t blameless results shud be better, but for fucking fuck sake the problems run deeper. I’ve read Liam’s said on radio rowett was told the defence was fine didn’t need recruitment? Me n my old man have been saying this for weeks!!!! You get a manager in, you back the fucker. Not tell him the worst defence in the league last season is ok. God help us

I think it's fairer to judge Rowett on who He has bought in
Afobe woods McLean ince
Than the form of those players he inherited
The guys he has bought in have played okay

How do you know rowett is the right man to stick with long term to turn things around? He's achieved fuck all in management and is doing very badly right now. So how do you get to that point, where you think keeping a manager long term, whose never achieved anything, who is losing half his games, is a good idea? I could say the exact same thing back, how do you know he isn't? He inherited a disaster and it was always going to take time to turn it around, and I have the belief he will based on his previous record with clubs, he has been successful in all his previous jobs in my opinion, Birmingham being the main example. There are also clubs throughout the leagues who constantly chopped and changed their management team and have ended up even worse in the shit. Sunderland did have financial issues but their plight was not helped by constantly changing management. We didn't just bring Rowett in, we changed everything below the boardroom. Coaches, academy, manager, assistant manager. This team has had a massive transition of players who are learning to work together under new management instruction, which is showing some signs of coherence, admittedly in attack not defence but the team inherited as I stated was woeful. To then send a message to the players that there is yet another change, with yet more changes in approach and style will further confuse the entire squad and team in that they would then have to learn a whole new way of playing, now, mid season. Stick with Rowett, let him get his messages through instead of changing and we will see the rewards, instead of chucking everything up in the air again in the hope of another manager getting a tune out of the same set of defenders. Rowett knows the issues now, it's up to him to sort them, and I believe he will. Darren Moore inherited a disaster and turned it around in 1 game they are currently 3rd. Swansea sold anyone who would get a transfer fee and spent nothing and Graham Potter has them playing better than us even if we did beat their reserves.

A combination of Guardiola and Klopp could do nothing with this squad. Rowett has been hung out to dry by a transfer team who wasted £millions on shit that didn't want to play for us or wasn't good enough, on extending contracts of has beens but have left us with a squad without a SINGLE FUCKING PROPER DEFENDER

I simply found it interesting that Lawro is basically implicating others higher up at the club for majorly fucking things up as well. One thing for callers on P&G to say it, but a bit more spicy when it's a pro and ex-player who'll undoubtedly still have strong connections at the club

His signings haven't been bad but he can't manage the players in front of himUnless they are losing 3-0 the ball goes backwards all of the time. Any risk of losing the ball it goes backwards. Nobody prepared to risk a through ball....until we are losing by 2 or 3.
This comes from the manager.
He left Derby coz he thought Stoke were a better option, better team
New manager at Derby and look at them. Managing those same players at Derby .....and the better team down at Stoke which he left for.......look a bag off shite.
The problems aren't all Rowett's fault, but he can't manage. He can't motivate, and he can't lead.

How do our issues run deeper than Swansea’s when they lost far more players and spent far less money replacing them? Our issues stem from our boardroom and the lack of coherent and sustained transfer / playing policy which left us with an ageing squad of elitist players and a woeful defence. It will take more than 4 months including 1 transfer window and 9 league games to sort us out. As a result of the last 2/3 years we have no identity, it will take time and patience for that to settle in. Something, it seems, probably fairly, we as a set of fans have little time for. I think if Scholes and Cartwright were to have been shipped out or fanbase would be a lot more patient with things. Swansea have an identity and are sticking to it.

Have a word with yourselves. Rowett in. And to stay in. Changing a manager after little more what, 10 games in charge? It's not fantasy football, or the fucking okey cokey. ALL managers need time to A. Get their own team and B. Put his stamp on said team. A has more or less happened and B. Is a work in progress. We've seen glimmers and we've seen alot of things we need to improve on.. Which will happen. A new manager would do the square route of fuck all. Tending to agree with this just about! My head tells me you are right. (The blood boils of course, but am trying to be more calculated about it) Rowett has made mistakes - he doesn't and hasn't helped himself at times. Personally, would have likes a clean slate with sales of Butland, Shawx, Allen this summer, and young top Champs recruits lke Watkins, Woods/Sawyers, Lawrence, Bryan et al; a set-piece taker like Snodgrass or Huddlestone - and better use of the loan market - and players bought earlier. But maybe that simply wasn't possible. Stoke were on a trajectory to hell after last season. Rowett has made signings which, by and large, are broad improvements (Ince, Afobe, Woods, Williams, Etobo are not the worst by any stretch.). Maclean was a mistake, But the fact that such a radical new team couldn't be built is surely, in some large part, because the Board's strategy is a shambles. Having made the catastrophic errors they have, the Board - Coates down - have been in denial for a couple of years. Some of the statements that have been made about last year's team being good enough, and then our players will find it easier this year, show an incredible lack of professional judgement. So, its going to take time for any manager to change a team while coping with the millstone of Board delusion. I'm sure any new manager in May would have wanted rid of Adam, Fletcher, Beharinho given half a chance, as well as raising money from Imbula, Wimmer, ECM and N'Diaye - but he has certainly had to deal with that not having been feasible. Still expecting 14th by Xmas, 10th-12th by end of season and a promotion push next year. But while this can't go one for ever, if we throw everything up in the air again before we know what Rowett's new team can achieve, for 5 games at least, am not sure what happens then.

Rowett knows the issues now, it's up to him to sort them, and I believe he will. It was Rowett who decided who he signed this summer. Rowett had all the backing he needed. It isn't as simple as inheriting the problem. This is his squad. Players like Bruno look far worse than last season even. This just isn't good enough. There is no coherent approach to attack. We go behind then throw in the kitchen sink. At west brom and forest he started with crouch up front. Chop and change over and over again. The man is way out of his depth

Lambert is not the messiah 1 win in 14 wasnt it. The problem goes deeper than Rowett. We had a shocking squad which he wasn’t fully able to put his stamp on. Due to restrictions he got to do half a job. He wanted Chester he got Williams He wanted Knudsen he got Martina Blame the people who prevented us getting more in because of the deals done on Imbula, Wimmer, Jese, Choupa that prevented us reinvesting in defenders. It was two wins in 14 for Lambert , who walked into a club , in meltdown But your point is right , the problem goes deeper than Lambert / Rowett They are experienced men And they are not being allowed to do their job properly I also blame those responsible for the imbula, summer, Jesse , choupo deals
