Blues have sold their 3,300 allocation a month in advance. They seem to be excited by it if you look on the Small Heath Alliance website. I dont think they like us much, should be a feisty atmosphere

They don't like us and we don't like them.
In fact, I hate Birmingham City.

I like Birmingham City and especially their fans, because they hate Aston Villa. I hate Birmingham City because I witnessed a Stoke fan getting blinded outside St Andrews with a brick (along with dozens of other Stokies who got pelted) by these Bastards. And chucking billboards and bottles at us inside that shit-hole of a ground. I've hated them ever since. Always will do.

Always ranked high amongst the most unpleasant places to go and never a great experience when they decide to travel here. Bizarre spectacle of two supporters fighting in the centre circle before the start of a game in the 70s still remains with me.

The walk back to the car after that game in 1992 was one of the worst experiences I've had watching Stoke all over the country.

Villa are a massive club with a fantastic fanbase, a great history, are fellow founder members and I respect them a lot.
Birmingham aren't really anything. I'd rather have them as an "edgy" bunch rather than someone completely boring like Reading or Hull, but I never really think about them to be honest.

A lot of Posters may disagree, but I think the Blues have a similar club and fan base to us. They have won the square root of f**k all since 1875 and their support is from solidly working class areas of east and South Birmingham. They have a similar fatalistic attitude to life and deep down know the gravity crocodile will always prevail. Where they are different is that they have a pretend big city swagger when talking to other clubs supporters. Imagine Noel Gallagher with a Brummie accent and wearing clothes he has found in a skip and you`ve sort of got it....they will drive you mad talking about how big they could be, and regale you about "our Trev" ,Jasper Carrot, Bob Latchford and Roger Hansbury…...if you meet them before the game don't mention Lou Macari, Noel Blake or Vince Overson….do mention Keith Birtchin

Just have to look at Cup game against them when they were in the prem and we were in the championship when Stoke fans got treated awfully by the police outside, they were swinging batons at any Stoke fan that got close for no reason!

Bathstoke….the Zulus are now aged 50-65 we wont be seeing much action from them...its their kids who will be throwing beer around and producing flares...I know a lot of Blue Noses and read the site regularily...hence I know it will be feisty and they don't like us...the site just shows they have sold out and probably could have sold double the allocation- so it must mean something to them

Late 80s?

The walk back to the car after that game in 1992 was one of the worst experiences I've had watching Stoke all over the country. Same here mate. Coming out of the away end and walking across the waste ground with the factory on the right, across the road on the hill to where the cars were parked was like a war zone. Not much sign of the police then was there? The violence outside was terrible and contrary to popular myth a lot of innocent people got injured by it.

Same era for me, but I seem to remember the Police Station incident when I was around 14/15, so 1987 or so maybe? Lots of Blues outside the Police Station, getting a welcoming from The Vic Car Park, and the adjourning alleyways. As for St Andrews riot, the journey back to New St after is the one main reason that my dislike for Blues is such....

I was there too and if it wasn’t for our own hooligans who stood on the fence to repel these cunts a lot more innocent people would have been hurt.plod and stewards were non existent and I think it was only safety in numbers that we managed to get back onto the coach.shockin that an innocent lad should lose an eye nobody should be subject to that just by going to a football match
