All had indifferent starts to their managerial careers at our great club. Let’s give Rowett the same time as the other pair and hope he’s as successful long term.Fans are far too quick(including me sometimes) to stick the knife in.THINGS WILL GET BETTER imo and a lot of patience is required from us the fans. The 1st half today was the best we’ve played all season and if the useless Diouf had any nouse in front of goal we’ve had won. Big 2 home games coming up now but us fans are needed more than ever.

If we win the next two games he can claim with some justification that things are starting to fall into place. Anything less than 6 points and he really doesn’t have any hiding places left - all understanding/sympathy has been used up now.

The last 3 managers...couldn't make a decent well timed substitution between them....and once again, when it happens it makes no sense

You can see exactly what sort of a manager Rowett is. Hoof ball merchant, hoping goals will 'drop'.
Results might eventually improve, but even with everything going his way he's going to be the same Gary Rowett. We're not going to see creativity. We're not going to see players with pace and trickery. We're not going to see expansive football.
We will always be very limited by having such a negative manager.

I understand what you are saying and to be fair it's a reasonable point, but it's not an indifferent start its a terrible start. The big problem and why I would suggest that this is different than the managers you cite is the circumstances are totally different. We are very close to the point where the season is a write off as far as promotion is concerned and fail to go up this season and the falling revenue next season means that in all likelihood we will stuck for many many years

Not sure if you watched today’s game but some of the one touch football and the way we recycled the ball in sticky situations was brilliant. It was our inability to finish chances and our failure to make substitutions when we were looking tired and under sustained pressure that cost us. Oh and comedy defending for the first goal. The football definitely wasn’t hoofball though. Far from it in fact.

We saw enough today against a decent Wednesday side that we have the ability to do well. Problem is our managers loyalty towards Allen and Shawcross in particular. Let’s not forget we have McLean and Clucas to come back. I don’t think we’ll go up but we’re better than a lot of teams we just need a bit of confidence from some wins.

Has to be given time: Inherited a diabolical squad of players most with a shite attitude or out of condition or both.
We have won 2 competitive games of football this year none away from home - he cant perform miracles. The problem has been we have deluded fans and board and need to get real. We still have a diabolical back 5 and have been unable to improve in the window, that was not for want of trying, according to inside info, so a long run to January but we look like we are getting better and we are winning the stats almost every week which is normally a prelude to good form.
We have a group of players that are competing in games of football and looking like they care, that is a start.
We are going in the right direction for the 1st time in years, but still have lots of major issues one still being a bit of a soft underbelly and confidence issues.
We had no chance of making the play-offs before a ball was kicked with the state of the club and every chance of dropping straight through - I am optimistic we can win the 12/13 games we need to survive, but still not beyond the realms the worst could happen, but we could also start moving in the right direction with a bit of luck and providing we do not start picking up injuries.

The football definitely wasn’t hoofball though. Far from it in fact. To be fair, regarding today you're right. There were a few hoofs from Ryan to Afobe but much less than what we've seen before. I do think the lack of quality of our opposition today had a big part to play in that though. Generally though we've been playing far more negatively than today and it's unacceptable. The hit and hope for 90 minutes against West Brom was dire. And based on what every Derby I've heard from has said and what has been pretty clear this season, we're in for much more of that.

Rowett is halfway to a decent side it will be next summer before he can build not only a good first eleven but a good subs bench he needs bring in a centre half and leader in January its going to require patience from everybody.

Whilst I do fear the same of 'hoofball' and a lack of plan B, using creative and existing squad players, today, with his summer buys, i thought we played very well and the passing and movement was finally something to get excited about. he really does need to learn from his mistakes though, and to stop cutting his nose of to spite his face. give Allen a rest, and have a fluid system to involve the squad to the best of their abilities.
