Rowett's signings are all doing well from where I'm sitting. If we don't go up this season another summer window should fix it.
Today, the 'old guard' strike again. The sooner they are moved on the better.

Not sure if you watched today’s game but some of the one touch football and the way we recycled the ball in sticky situations was brilliant. It was our inability to finish chances and our failure to make substitutions when we were looking tired and under sustained pressure that cost us. Oh and comedy defending for the first goal. The football definitely wasn’t hoofball though. Far from it in fact. To be fair, regarding today you're right. There were a few hoofs from Ryan to Afobe but much less than what we've seen before. I do think the lack of quality of our opposition today had a big part to play in that though. Generally though we've been playing far more negatively than today and it's unacceptable. The hit and hope for 90 minutes against West Brom was dire. And based on what every Derby I've heard from has said and what has been pretty clear this season, we're in for much more of that. I bet Derby are happy now they play nice football and lose to teams like Rotherham.

You can see exactly what sort of a manager Rowett is. Hoof ball merchant, hoping goals will 'drop'. Results might eventually improve, but even with everything going his way he's going to be the same Gary Rowett. We're not going to see creativity. We're not going to see players with pace and trickery. We're not going to see expansive football. We will always be very limited by having such a negative manager. Absolute rubbish. No hoofball today, good football through midfield. We also looked quick up front. What we didn't look was solid in central defence.

I thought we played well today & were unlucky not to come away with 3pts. We twated them early doors & rightly went 2-up, we then fell asleep & got punished to quickly make it 2-1. After that I thought we continued to be by far the better team, had numerous chances to kill the game off, and then got hit with one of those free-kicks where you just have to hold your hands up & say he hit it well, fair play. (The golden boy of this forum had the chance to win it for us with a free-kick of our own in the same position, unfortunately he put it over the roof of a two-tiered stand!)

As long as I see improvement I'll back him all the way. We haven't played badly in any of our 4 last games, but as said earlier we need to be more clinical to ensure the points stay with us.

All had indifferent starts to their managerial careers at our great club. Let’s give Rowett the same time as the other pair and hope he’s as successful long term.Fans are far too quick(including me sometimes) to stick the knife in.THINGS WILL GET BETTER imo and a lot of patience is required from us the fans. The 1st half today was the best we’ve played all season and if the useless Diouf had any nouse in front of goal we’ve had won. Big 2 home games coming up now but us fans are needed more than ever. Rowett is the only one out of those who had a shit load of backing and money to spend. He's totally fucked up the season already and making it even more miserable to be a stoke fan. I've absolutely fucking had it with him. Fuck off Rowett

Biggest concern is that the average fan in the stand would manage the game better than Mr. G Rowett.
He's the manager of the team and the most important aspect of managing the team takes place at 3pm every Saturday. He's dog shit.
All this bollocks of inheriting a bad squad etc is a sack of horse smelling shit aswell.
Imbula - fucked off to Spain Badou - fucked off to Turkey Wimmer - fucked off to Germany Shaqiri - fucked off to Merseyside Berahino - shown a good attitude since Rowett arrived so not been fucked off Bauer - wrongly fucked off to the u23s
Every single manager would have swapped their squad from ours at the beginning of the season.
His team selections, formations and most importantly and I'll repeat, most importantly his substitutions are abysmal. It's like we're running a Tombola in the dug out but Fletchers name is put in there twice just to make sure.
£20m top shagging centre forward signed starts 2 in 2 so dropped and then played on the wing.
Poor crouchy having to start game after game.
Oh and chasing Jimmy Mac all summer with the added bonus of causing a lovely split in the supporters group.
Get rid and have done.

If you look at the stats for that game you will see we were not outplayed in any way! We also had just as many great chances, but sometimes you see what you want. We even made 41 crosses into their box as well!

The other two names have won promotions , engaged the supporters even with TP at the best times , this bloke had won nothing , spent a few quid. Taken us to twentieth in the championship where Pulis rescued us from , it’s an insult to the legacy of the other two to have his name in the same sentence

Our chance of promotion has already gone. We can all sit here slagging off our players, but with that group of players you should be getting promoted. That back four needs work, but that is his job, to get the back four organised first and foremost. He's done fuck all. He's an imposter, not fit to be at this club. Fuck off Rowett

I'll give Rowett until Christmas before I make up my opinon. This season is about damage limitation and rebuilding (despite what Peter Coates says) but I will expect a sure sign of a transformation in the right direction before Christmas. SCFC has been a basket case of a football club the last couple of seasons but Rowett has to find the winning formula very soon. As somebode else said on the matchday thread: this is a top six squad. It's up to Rowett to unlock the potential.

I understand the worry I feel the same it has been a poor start to the season. I do feel though in regards to the OP the expectation to gain promotion for Rowett is much greater than it was for Lou and especially TP promotion.

Whilst we have not had the best of starts anyone that thinks a change of manager this early would make a difference needs to take a look at themselves and ask if they actually understand football at all. Weve got remnants of TP squad of MH squad and now GR squad, we are dealing with a number of players who dont want to be here and a complete overhaul in staff with new tactics and direction with a bunch of players whise confidence is rock bottom.
Pep himself would do fuck all with this lot at the minute. The rebuilding of this squad is one of the biggest needed in a generation of the club and it will take longer than one summer window to fix regardless of whos in charge. Yes he has made mistakes find me a manager that hasnt ? Sir Alex was a game away fron getting sacked at Utd early on, yes hes no fergie but the comparrison is time. What do we do sack a manager every 7 games if they havent got maximum points ? Give ya heads a wobble.

You cant sack the bloke on 7 games because he hasnt been promoted or engaged with the fans. Neither had Waddington, Pulis or Macari with this club you plum. Thorne, Stein, Akinbiyi, all classed as shite when we signed them, lou, tony pulis, mark hughes all classed as not good enough managers. Do you see the theme here ? TP didnt win for what 10 games was it in this same division. Nothings changed except peoples expectations.

sorry but Rowett can fuck off right now. Lets all happy clap and sit back patiently and watch us slide to league 1 Agreed , our defending is abysmal and if we carry on with shawcross and bmi at the back , then we are going down . But do we know for a fact , GR wants to carry on with shawcross and bmi ?? Maybe he wanted to sign James Chester , or ANother ??? It seems to some , GR had to force the Ryan woods transfer through , against a board who were dithering to the very end , in the hope , we could win a game ,and they could bottle it . Maybe there are people at the club who want to go round handing out big contracts to the likes of shawcross and bmi , and maybe they are NOT GR
