Not sure if anyone remembers a player called Xherdan Shaqiri but it sounds like he played a blinder tonight
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Xherdan Shaqiri produced a dominant display as Switzerland thrashed Iceland 6-0 in the Uefa Nations League.
The Liverpool midfielder scored one goal and had a hand in two others as the hosts made a perfect start to their Group A2 campaign.
Shaqiri got Switzerland's third with a brilliant free-kick after goals from Steven Zuber and Denis Zakaria.
Haris Seferovic made it 4-0 before Albian Ajeti and Admir Mehmedi completed the rout.
Shaqiri was a constant menace from set pieces, with Seferovic and Mehmedi's goals coming following the former Stoke player's free-kicks.
Liverpool signed Shaqiri from the Potters for £13m in July, but he has yet to start for Jurgen Klopp's side.

Still a great ball in though. He was superb but it does have to be said that they were up against a very poor Iceland team Still what I wouldn’t give to have him back in our team

Yep. That's our Xherdan. Turns it on when he considers the players around him to be of similar ilk, but can't always be arsed when he thinks his team's level is beneath him.

It was the same back in the 70s and 80s when we had decent sides there were those moaning, creating a malaise and pessimism, whinging that we haven't won the league creating an atmosphere that takes us down. People will wax lyrical about the golden years of Shaq when in reality they used to moan like fuck and were contributors to him not being here anymore.

Not quite true that though is it? We saw the best of him in 2015 with quality players alongside, he couldn't carry this shower of shite with him now could he? He tried, made more appearances last season than any other with us, always one step ahead in thought and process. To say he couldn't be arsed just isn't true mate.

He did his bloody best mate.

I've heard that he was over rated and very lazy.
We are lucky to have a replacement who will run miles to chase after balls he has failed to control or passed to the opposition.

But I did say he couldn't always be arsed meaning sometimes he could. I just remember sitting at some games seeing him being a mardarse and flapping his arms around and it pissed me off. Plus I wasn't a massive fan of some of his comments at the latter end of the season. But I'm not saying I'd rather have his replacement that's for sure!

Newcastle at home he certainly couldn't be arsed!! Piss poor. But having said that moody twat or not and didn't take a player on enough for me , he's better then anything we have on the wings for sure... Now that is shite...

Alan Hudson was my dad's favourite player.
I can't recall him telling me how good he was at tracking back.
If we would've lost shaq at any point during the run in last season it would've been over straight away. With him it went to the last home game.
