He's out of his depth and clearly not up to the task.
The problem we have is that Coates is loyal so we'll have to suffer this shit for a while, and God knows how much damage will be done.
Utterly depressing.

His presser was excellent.
I've disagreed with a lot of his decisions, but maybe it is going to take him time to get used to who is shite and who isn't. He's said the players take to the issues in training well and then don't do it on a Saturday. That doesn't surprise me at all.
He's got a while before i'll say get rid.

Utterly depressing. This 4-3-3 with inverted wingers just isn’t working- pass, pass round the back and ends up with Martina/Pieters and nobody showing down the line as Ince/Diouf are too narrow. No outlet from the back and teams are just pressing us until we give the ball away. It is embarrassing how disorganised we look and how organised every other team looks compared to us

Give the bloke a break, the defence was fucked way before he came and he isn't responsible for only Ashley Williams coming in that's on the hierarchy not Rowett. I have faith he can steady the ship and get us back on track.

More a exercise in saving face and self preservation I disagree, the players know full well they're letting him down, and in this case i think they're big enough to take it. Some of them need a dressing down, because trying to be nice to them beforehand has obviously not worked. Not saving face really, it's just full-well the truth. The defenders have made basic errors that professional footballers shouldn't make.

I dislike him a lot and hope he goes very quickly. He has no class at all. Almost open abuse on his own players without taking the responsibility of picking them and the system they play.

Not sure why the fans dig out players every week without fail, complaining about managers protecting players too much, then when a manager calls players out for their horrific issues, start fucking moaning again!
I'm not Rowett's biggest fan so far, but fuck me if the manager having a go at players who have spent 2 months proving they deserve it is a sackable offence then what's the point?
He's fully in the right to say he needs to change players, and I don't think it's just saving face, because we can all see the mistakes he's referring to, and he's right. Do people really think he's coaching Ryan to step up like that? Or BMI to get bum-tickled by Danny Graham all game?

Ryan hasn’t been great this season and he’s calling him out in public today. It’s called blame deflection, weak leaders use it and it’ll ultimately cost him his job. Take the heat yourself, bollock them in private and make the necessary changes, instead we got a guy more interested in protecting himself

Exactly 9 points 9 games from arguably the most expensive squad in the division. Hardly tearing up trees now are we. Right now it fèels like he way out of his depth. Unfortunately I fear in this day and age premier league players won't put up with that behaviour either. He has to go the signs aren't good.

If your unit was underperforming at work and you manager named you publicly as one responsible how would you react, how would your colleagues react? It breeds resentment and a fear of taking risks and failure. It was shocking and will be his downfall

I'd be fine with it if I was responsible and I was in a job where everyone could tell I was responsible. I see nothing wrong with it to be honest. The players have needed this for a while, and they have absolutely no recourse to be annoyed with Rowett for saying it because nothing he has said is false.
