6 points out of 21 and 1 win in this godforsaken league full of absolute dross. Crap Stoke. Coates x 2, Scholes, Cartwright and Rowett + his hangers on OUT. Don't know if anybody's noticed this.. But it's all gone downhill since John Rudge left. š¤¤š¢šØ

Rowett? He's toss. With a capital t. Toss. Think we played a lot of good football yesterday so we might see better days soon now! We've been hoping for the new dawn for about two years haven't We? I read somewhere about our statistics and they are very scary.. I was quite enthusiastic about Rowett when appointed. I am now thoroughly underwhelmed and quite worried. Can't put my finger on it but get the feeling the job is too big for him. Along with his ears of course.

Since he's been criticised right, left and centre in the last few weeks, I think he deserves a lot of praise for tonight. It was my first opportunity to watch him closely and I thought that he did very well.
We started off ok, if looking a bit shaky in terms of confidence, and then Potter tweaked Swansea's system so that their three forwards choked the supply between the defence and Woods/Etebo. This put us slightly at panic stations and we had a dodgy ten minutes. However, during a drinks break around the 34th minute, Rowett took the opportunity to get his midfield together and adjust things so as to counter the Swansea changes. This worked, and we were in the ascendancy both before half time and up to the goal. We should have scored two or three.
After we scored, Potter moved again, bringing on some subs and altering the system. After five minutes of us being under the cosh, he switched to 4-4-2 and put Berahino on. This put us back in charge and we were, again, unlucky to not add to our tally. The introduction of Berahino was key since he put in the hard miles that made him the perfect replacement for Diouf. I say that as somebody who has been deeply unimpressed by Berahino's offerings so far. Dropping Allen deeper also yielded a much more effective performance.
They had one last throw of the dice with their last change, but we just reconfigured our forward line and saw out the game. By the end, they had resorted to inexplicably dropping their target man into midfield and putting their centre back up front.
We won, we deserved to win by more and we saw the game out comfortably. When was the last time that that happened? Well done Stoke and well done Rowett.

I honestly think Bojan is a better option than Diouf though Going forward and shooting Bojan and Berahino are better than Diouf. But Diouf is needed for his defensive capabilities and will always be in the line-up until he either gets injured or McLean returns. There are three players competing for the number 10 spot in Rowettās prefered formation of 433 and right now his first choice is Allen. .

I have to say people just seem blinded by a win. That was bloody awful performance. A totally unstructured team with no plan with an apathetic manager who is out of his depth.(well win the next three as well) Went to the toilet at half time and all the comments were, slow, no energy, boring, shocking and they were all right. We were just so laboured. We woke up about 75 minutes and started to high press and Swansea actually stuttered and began to struggle. The wide players were both struggling and really poor. Why didn't Rowtwit swap flanks where both would be playing on their natural side against different defenders? It was so obvious. I actually shake my head at people who thought we were okay last night, a draw or loss and peoples opinion of the performance would have been so different. We have another one of those stubborn, can't see what to change managers again and I fear its going to be painful to watch this season. Were nearly there with the players but still have a manager who has no clue how to get the best out of them and a system to play them in.

Confidence breeds confidence, they played alot better against sheff wed on Saturday but I think that was because Woods was given the time and space to ping the ball wherever the fuck he wanted. Last night he was a marked man.few more wins should see us playing better even when teams try stifle us. Like how Woods is always on the move, loved it last night when was bollocking defence to get their fingers out and move the ball quicker! Imho

I was gobsmacked when I realised it was Diouf making way for Berahino. Honestly thought that Afobe was coming off as he was looking tired and wasn't closing down the defenders any more. But fair play, it turned out to be a good change in the end with Afobe basically running riot down the left though he did not track back at all when Swansea were exploiting the gaps down our left when Pieters was left on his own.
