This was on BBC R5 today, people whining about bad language at football games.
So….
Lets clean up our act and change some songs...
" My Old Man Said be a Vale fan, I said Actually Father I'd rather not"
What the heck What the heck What the flaming heck was that.
Can you hear the Baggies sing, No, No Can you hear the Baggies sing No, No, Can you hear the Baggies sing I'm struggling to hear anything No No No Shhhhhhhh…
Though I must admit one bloke phoned in and said his 8 year old son thought the crowd's chant to an away goalie taking a kick was. Whhhhooooooooaaaaa Your Sheep Baaaahhhhhh.
It was that funny the people around him used to yell it....

I've not heard "gypo, gypo, gypo ..." & so on chanted for a while to a footballer with long hair.
Obviously this will need to be changed to "traveller, traveller, traveller" now

Oh yes, 'snowflake', a handcuff of an insult and nobody has the key.
By calling someone a snowflake, you are not just shutting down their opinion, but telling them off for being offended that you are doing so!

For some illogical reason instead of using the word, and I do apologise for this FUCK ! I’ve started to use DIOUF ? For example “ you DIOUFFING bastard, go DIOUF yourself & you mother DIOUFFER ! It’s become second nature and I find myself being accepted in all the right social circles. Maybe we could incorporate such into our Infamous singalongs so as not to offend the faint hearted ?

If the truth is offensive then that's their problem. If you're called a peado and you're not, then that's offensive. If you're called violent but you're not, then that can be offensive. If you're called a snowflake because you get offended at the slightest thing, that's not offensive. It's why you're a snowflake.

But If their perception of the truth is different to yours, that does not automatically mean that you are right. Even I am wrong sometimes so you are almost certainly wrong sometimes in your perception of the behaviour of others. In such cases you are abusing them for no good reason. Better not to brand people according to your perception of them. Especially over something as trivial as this. Celebrate the difference between people and don't be so judgemental. You will probably feel better for it.

By calling someone a snowflake, you are not just shutting down their opinion, but telling them off for being offended that you are doing so! Are you offended by the term. I mostly hear it used by the neo-right, UKIP, the lunatic fringe of Trump supporters and the far right Breitbardt News Network so for that reason I'm a bit queasy about it. It's a sort of ubiquitous tough guy taunt. That will make me a snowflake of course which is why it is such a handcuff of an insult, no one has a key. As for your thread itself, I'm fine with it, its not fall down and roll around on the floor laughing funny but it's doing its best to limp along!

That very much depends on your definition of “the slightest thing”, doesn’t it? Would it make me a snowflake if I took exception to people making monkey noises at black footballers? Or to use a current example, does it make me a snowflake if I speak out against the US Government for seizing toddlers at the border, separating them from their parents and shipping those kids off to detention centers and locking them away in cages? I’ve seen plenty of people called “snowflakes” recently for objecting to that practice. One man’s “slightest thing” is another man’s living nightmare. That’s why I fucking despise the term “snowflake”.
