Tell you what mate, last night just about broke my back. Stayed to the miserable end as always and then didn't get home till after 2am because they closed the fucking M1 in south Yorkshire. Stuck in a traffic jam for nearly an hour as they cut 4 lanes into one and then we were treated to a tour of Sheffield and fucking Rotherham. And back again on Saturday. My missus thinks I'm mad. I'm starting to believe her.

Total capitulation, players falling out, manager questioning senior player attitudes and serious supporter unrest and it’s all come to a head Is it just what was needed ? Can't see another storming of the Waddington suite as when it gets to 0-2 most people leave. I'm sure there was more people on the pitch at full time last night than was in the home stands.

What is all this talk about root and branch reviews of the transfer policy?
It was done in the style of a hatchet job in the summer just gone. Fingers were pointed at Mark Hughes whilst pinky and perky kept their jobs and everything carried on as normal whilst the old man upstairs continues his Forty winks at the wheel.
Move on folks, absolutely nothing to see here.

It was the tip of the iceberg because we are stuck with these shithouses. Nobody wants to buy them, and the window is all but closed until January. It’s going to take three years to sort the mess out.

Jeez mate, that's a long old haul. Haven't missed a game for ages but won't be there on Tuesday because I have to go to a relative's funeral at 10.30 the following day and need to be in the right frame of mind (as well as physically back home!) people say "Keep the faith", but, as you say, it's not easy after nights like last night.

You would hope the owners sat in their seats and finally thought WTF is going on, how the hell have we arrived at this position and how do we restore pride and ambition There is no doubt that the management of the Club (off the pitch) has, and continues to be a significant factor in our downfall and continued demise. There has to be a root and branch review of the so called recruitment process. Quantity of quality in the name of sustainability has been and remains a failure Unfortunately, I don't see Coates looking in the mirror and realising, "Ultimately, I'm the problem here." I've appointed friends around me, on the basis that they are comfortable to have around, they take the blame and what they tell me makes me feel better. But the cost of this is now spiralling towards 100m of wasted assets, we've got a squad of players that (apart from their salary) really don't want to be here and the fans of the club are in a state of shock and anger. Its heading towards being another case study of Portsmouth/Sunderland/Blackpoolesque proportions, unless the momentum changes. And its down to me, as the owner, and my lack of courage and humilty to appoint people who will challenge me, know more than me, tell me the truth and make the club take tough decisions.

Think a couple of wins is just what we need mate We have been saying that since January though TC Well that's alright then, because indeed we HAVE had "a couple of wins" since January. Precisely two in fact.

Total capitulation, players falling out, manager questioning senior player attitudes and serious supporter unrest and it’s all come to a head Is it just what was needed ? Wez, if it is then it wouldn’t have been for nothing. The season so far is one big bloody straw! So far, so shit as far as I am concerned. There is nothing right now in GR’s short tenure that fills me with the confidence that he is actually the right manager for this team and the task in hand. From the open criticism of players. Stating that he takes the blame, only to then actually cast it elsewhere all within the SAME interview!? Failing to see extremely poor performances from players that he leaves out there playing. Failing to recognise when players have actually had a positive impact in games, where he then excludes them from the next outing. The team tinkering with zero plan or effect. Absolutely no identity STILL. The complete imbalance in his selections. No plan B and a quite frankly an abysmal bloody plan A. Lacking in fitness, even after a full preseason. Being honest, Lambert had a bigger positive effect on our performance in the days he had before his first game! GR has had weeks, it doesn’t bode well. Alleged fights amongst the team. Brand new players feeling like they have a free license to tell the press that HIS team mates or HIS manager need to grow some balls?! I could go on and on re the basics that the team just isn’t doing and quite frankly that all cannot be down to the players. GR needs his Mark Robins moment and bloody sharpish because he is at the helm of a rotten, turgid, expensively assembled shambles of a team right now. Lambert would have had us playing better, and I wanted him gone.

When we we’re 3-0 down and Wigan were merrily waltzing up the park again with bugger all resistance I had a real deja vu feeling for the Brum game all those years ago. We were hopeless and there was nothing anyone could do about it. However I still have a bit of faith in Mr Rowetts words if not his actions so I’m for trying to ride the storm out and see where we are in 6 months.

Rowett has no personality he comes across as boring his team talks must be very uninspiring judging by what we are currently seeing. I was not a fan of his appointment but was prepared to get behind him but after last night thats done it for me he has to go & quick because i can see things getting worse if thats possible.

If I was Rowett I wouldn’t give them a football or have them running around cones today. I’d sit them all down in a room together and ask every single one of them in front of everyone else what their f**king problem is!? Whether it means being open and honest about other players, tactics, the manager, the board... whatever it is. Clear the air, find a solution and start again tomorrow with unity! Whether it takes 2 hours or 12 hours it needs to be sorted today.

I kind of suspect that ... the owners sat in their seats and finally thought WTF is going on, how the hell have we arrived at this position and how do we restore pride and ambition to the club, erm, FOUR MONTHS AGO. And now here we are. Paul. As normal we stayed until the final whistle to witness an almost empty stadium, there was no clapping (nor should there be) from “anyone” which is extremely rare. You, as would the owners have witnessed a significant reduction in attendance, silence for long spells during the games, booing and ironic clapping for a substitution and of cause a shambolic performance. I honestly believe the owners thought a little bit of tinkering and public statements would suffice. If last night wasn’t a massive wake up call I’m not sure what would be Here’s hoping Last night was the first time I have ever left a Stoke match before the final whistle. I never thought I would and silently told myself to 'give it another five minutes' but every time I did there was another glaring example of rank amateur skills, player to player frustration and on an on. Just, simply, awful. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but last night felt as bad as anything I've witnessed before. Afterword: As me and kid shuffled along the row of seats a woman said to me "given up have you?" and the best and most polite I could do was point at the pitch and reply "no, but they have."

Hopefully, at least in that the starting XI should be very different come saturday. Removing Allen and Fletcher would help us no end. How can it be very different? What starting XI is going to take Saturday's game by the scruff of the neck and stamp their authority on it rom the start? I am not saying we don't need significant changes but can't for the life of me see how that will be made to happen three after that performance when the management and players have failed miserably to get any response to the previous three dreadful performances, ok two dreadful one mediocre. Simply listing all the players that were not involved in last night's debacle is not an answer. Give me the 11 youngest players we can field and throw them out there. Dont care who.

I’d rather have 11 camels playing at the moment.
I’ve just watched the highlights, it could have feasibly been 4 or 5...
I don’t think we are fit enough I’ve watched most games this season and the amount of times we get over run in every position is appalling. There’s no anticipation to the ball coming in the box, I fear for us as a club at moment. The board won’t do anything let’s be honest all this talk about Rowett, scholes, Cartwright nothing will change. The only way the board will take note is the crowds... that’s when true alarm bells ring.... otherwise we continue to accept the shit we are being served up!

On paper we should beat Hull but I noticed they won on Tues away at Rotherham. I’d love to know what the board are thinking right now. I’d make the Huddersfield match free for season ticket holders and a £10/£5 kids for non holders they need to try to keep fans on board. If we draw or lose to Hull and lose to Huddersfield I think we are in serious trouble and they will have to take a serious look at the situation regarding Rowett Nah Huddersfield will be £15 Adults and £5 children 14,000 max

They might be able to shake them up a bit, where the Manager is failing to.

I wouldnt go quite so far, because it's clear from the pitch they don't trust each other and would not have the confidence to say what their problems are in such a sitting, but I'd have them come in for extra training on their day off, and extra training on top of the hours they already do.
