If not why did Derby offer him a new and improved contract out of the blue? Because he has a good agent and he did his job, using the speculation to get his client a better deal. Absolutely

Yep. And they're both right! You not on side with Rowett momo? its early days still Too previous Dunc? Definitely. Harsh? Probably. He has just not done one single thing, not one, to impress me since he joined the club. He hasn't been helped by the blazing incompetence of Sid and Eddie behind the scenes but out of the players he's got he should still have been capable of putting together something more coherent than the absolute shambles we've seen so far. I'm not campaigning for him to go, that would be laughable but I wouldn't give two shits if he did.

What a completely ridiculous thread.I actually thinks he talks sense in his interviews and I can see its going to take a while for us to click. But I firmly believe he will sort us out.We were left in a complete and utter mess dont forget.

Hope not, he needs some time. Also, who would we get any better? He got a team to the play-offs last season. He has better players with Stoke. He needs time and booing won’t help, no matter how disgruntled we are. If he walks, we really would be in trouble. We need stability to bring consistency, then he can be judged. Constant change will bring chaos.

Rome wasn’t built in a day folks Rome was just the result of laying bricks and the bricks are the system. Focusing on your habits is more important than worrying about your outcomes. The end-goal has importance, however the system is of greater significance.

I actually quite like Rowett, he's open and calls it like it actually is, instead of making up some drivel which actually insult the intelligence..I don't think he quite imagined just what a mess the club is in. For a club of our size to have such massive wages sat on the bench,or not even making the bench is nothing short of a disgrace. So if you like Rowett, why come up with a thread about him walking? He could stay, he could walk, it could rain, it could stay dry, I could win the lottery...……..

The home game v Wigan will be a marker for Gary Rowett. Win and all will be good, draw then questions will be asked. Lose, then goodness knows what happens.

I have a bit of empathy with Sheikhy's post. Clearly we are poor at recruitment, it's been proven time and time again and I am stunned that as a solid fixture in the top tier for 10 yrs we couldn't be arsed to put a better recruitment team together. Having said that, most of the incoming players are GR's pick, the front 3 are exactly what the manager wanted but they don't have enough goals in them to get us promoted. Afobe will score 15+ and Ince will chip in with maybe 10. But history suggests McClean may get 1 or 2. He has bought Clucas and loaned Williams and Martina. So a good number of this squad are already his players add to them one of the best keepers in the country, Allen (although he has many critics) was in the team of the tournament at the last Euros, Etebo shined on the world cup stage. However the manager hasn't got one single exceptional performance out of any of them. He is an experienced Champ manager, that's why we hired him, he's had a full pre-season to prepare and yet we look like complete strangers in this league. Rookie managers to this league, Lampard, Bielsa Potter, Moore seem to be able to get their team playing and putting points on the board, yet the experienced manager Rowett is struggling, maybe it's not all about shite players. The clock is ticking fast on our chances of getting back quickly so Rowett is already under pressure. Another lacklustre performance and result tonight against a team playing 2 division below us just 3/4 months ago, even at this early stage, you would have to wonder whether there is something not connecting between players and manager and whether or not he can live up to the hype that surrounded him when he arrived.

Rome wasn’t built in a day folks We certainly let it burn down pretty quickly! Not really. Hughes was allowed nearly five years to remove the sprinklers and alarms, to replace fire-resistant materials with flammable ones, and finally to spill petrol around the club. That is why it is taking so long to rebuild because the fire-proofing must be restored as well as the rebuilding of the structures.

Something ain't right. We have brought some right shit under his watch by the look of it, to add to what we already had. We are actually worse than last season.

Stranger things have happened in football...could he go? Yup. Might he be pushed by a board room who obviously are not remotely interested in the way the Club is going? Yup
Have we learnt anything from last season? Not a jot

Yup Have we learnt anything from last season? Not a jot I just don't understand the McClean signing. he looks terrible. Surely there were better ways of spending that cash and wages. That investment is upward of 15m including wages. It just seems crazy anyone would sanction it. We are a championship club burning cash.

Honestly WCH, I think its a clash two forces now with Rowett on one side & Pizza chomping pariahs on the other. Ultimately the Club will suffer badly, and so far its happening even worse than last season. Not trying to over hype things or be a sort of pissy pants person, but its quite obvious where yet again the issues are, how yet again we have blown cash badly, and how yet again we look less of a team & more like a bunch of misfits who don't have a clue or care Sad times ahead again

We are in desperate times. Sitting on our hands worked out well last year didn’t it. Get rid and once the board have done that they can sack themselves too.

Besides picking Fletcher and Allen, what can Rowett do to stop players like Ryan/Williams/Pieters making mistakes like that?
3 managers now haven't stopped it. Weak mental state from players is the issue more than Rowett.
