4 - too much chopping and changing both starting line ups and subs - not enough urgency and fight instilled in the team - too tentative

He's still finding his feet and has decent squad of players to work to get the balance right. Took Berahino off for crouch. Should never have started him though. 7

1 worst stoke side for years. Obviously. How is that Rowett's fault? He’s brought 7 players in and we don’t seem have a system. I suppose your happy with that shit? Everybody to there own. I see West Brom are struggling to come to terms with this league with a manger with no experience in the championship.🙄

Thought we started off much more disciplined and more rigid through the lines. I thought the balance of Berahino and Afobe worked well early on. I thought Allen was as disciplined as i've ever seen him in a Stoke shirt, so it looks like things have been worked on.
Lack of creativity is still a worry when we have the ball. Afobe became more isolated as the game wore on. Thought the subs were strange, especially the Afobe for Etebo sub, leaving Crouch very isolated. Thought it was very negative, and quite harsh on Afobe who worked hard despite a lack of service. Absolutely desperate hoofball at the end.
Arguably our best performance of the season, but still nowhere near where we need to be.

Especially when not getting the results. I find it quite worrying that we don’t seem to have system or game plan. Happy to be proved wrong.👍

Either that was two different games we watched or there are some serious anger issues going on here.... We didn't play in white today Sal

5 improvement from last week. He loses points for the starting xi. It's outrageous that he picks the team with one eye on scoring political points against the recruitment team...just pick your best players ffs. Fair play to him for subbing the woeful McClean who is his blue eyed boy. But I am really disappointed with him making a negative sub towards the end when the game was there to be won. Draws will not get you promoted GR, I hoped you had learnt that mistake after last season.

I honestly think he knows what he wants to see, but it just aint happening.
Seems angry and frustrated, like he's saying I bloody told you Coates under his breath.
Called the subs right today which in its self is a step from the norm as a Stoke manager and has put some fight in them.
4 for the result and the fight and one for the go at the ref at half time.
So 5

I cannot give him more than 4 while he continues to pick Fletcher.
And what, in the name of all things holy, was he doing playing Edwards over both Bauer and Martina? A truly bizarre decision!

I can understand the Martina decision as he has literally just pulled his shirt on, Bauer seems to have lost a bit at present. Fletcher - he must be bumming him!

6. He deserves more time . . . more than half this board obviously missed their calling and should have become football managers.

Can anyone shed some serious light on him picking Fletcher??? It's really bizarre Etebo is still getting used to life in the championship, Charlie Adam is woeful, sorenson isn’t ready to play in the championship and big gaz doesn’t rate Cameron and wants him gone.

Much better, finally felt like we were seeing a bit of future today - there's a long way to go, we're leaving acres of space at the back still and making too many unforced errors, but we had the character and quality to come back from behind twice and whatever Gary said at HT did a job. I guess I'm also saying, realistically this is the first time we're truly rating Rowett rather than a man still trying to harness what was left from last season's shambled. So, my mark includes a bonus point for getting today's performance out of the lads after such a demoralising first two games: 8 from me add * if you were there please Totally Agree, much better.

Positive 7. May be a female view. Only week 3. We've had 3 matches. Two away. I feel we are battered and bruised. It going to take a few games. Mountain to climb. Today we settled in to the championship No we didn't - more shit to come I'm afraid.

3 - I don’t like how we play. If you play ugly football it has to be justified by winning.
Rowett plays ugly losing football

At the moment Gary Rowett is Pulis Lite with no end product. Much needed point today of course and maybe looked on with different perspective in future months. Judging Rowett on today alone has got to be a 5 If other threads are to be believed regarding recruitment the it's a 6.

2.
Fletcher can not be one our two best CMs. Edwards can not be our best RB. McClean can not be good enough to get in any team with aspirations of promotion.
Their does not seem to be any plan at all.

A generous 3 but still no idea what the set up is, if we have one, reminds me of lads and dads set up, hoofing and hoping

7 Midfield is still a massive issue however I feel like he made positive subs by bringing on Crouch and Diouf. Still needs to find a proper DCM Having been at the game, the answer is Ben Pearson in this division. Very good, never wastes the ball and full of composure 👍.

- 2 .it was pretty poor to be honest. We will be lucky to stay up. New signings were poor apart from Williams and the old guard shit apart from crouch.

His post match interview was telling. He was basically saying the players aren’t doing what he is asking them to do. So he might as well play long ball to Crouch and win a few games to get the confidence up.
Much as though I hate it, he might be right if Clucas and one more new signing join the team in the coming weeks then maybe he can get the team playing like he wants.
For what it’s worth, I liked two up front. So I guess that means we have to go 4-4-2 or maybe 3-5-2:
Cuco Williams BMI Bauer Allen Boyan Etebo Ince Berahino Afobe

So 5 Agree mostly - you've saved me some writing! Only thing I'd detract: he loses 1 for sticking and not subbing fletcher. That needs seriously sorting soon. Needs to have the guts to drop Mclean 4.

3 better than last two games but not good enough , Fletcher was absolutely awful again he offers nothing Whatever. McLean is a very poor player but is at least mobile. At the moment promotion is out of the question It rate Rowett not the players....

2- I'm sorry but anyone who starts with that midfield doesn't know what he is doing. I'm not sticking up for GR but what midfield do you want him to play ? As wank as it is, it's the best we've got. A point away from home though its a 5 from me.
