He was wank. His control was dreadful and broke up 3 attacks in the first half. And that decision to pass was just one of the worst decisions you’ll see. He worked hard but meh, so does a Labrador. You need more from your winger. Still the least of our problems.

Why didn’t he shoot.., maybe read this site.. looked more up for it than most, final ball disappointing.. Above average for a poorly set up team.

We need way more than to scrap. If McClean has quality it would have been 1-1. Fuck this hard working bollocks off. It means nothing if they don’t make the right decision or show the ability to trap a football. Perhaps the leeds players are no better at trapping a football than the stoke players ? Maybe they just worked harder and wanted it more ? Maybe they had more than one player showing a bit of fight ? No. They had a game plan. They passed the ball excellently. They played the game at a fast pace and in an attractive way. They worked their knackers off too but that should be a given.

I don't think Bielsa would have picked him for his team today.

You need more from your winger. Well im pretty certain he wasnt going to score from that angle and so was the defender hence why he covered the pass. Have u got any words to describe the other players because there were worse players than him on the pitch for me. How the fuck do you know for sure he wouldn't score from that angle? We didn't score from his shit pass either. I suggest you have a look at fullers goal against villa in our first season in the prem and say you will never score from that angle.

So do people think we screwed up our window? - our one and only chance to invest a net 35m-40m on the necessary overhaul, in order to create a championship outfit that has clear strengths over the rest?

He wasn’t but that’s not the point. He was still shite. And we shouldn’t be praising a winger for the things he did. Accepting that kind of sums up why we are where we are imo.

Coates has accepted mediocrity, and I don't give a shit who slates me for saying it. There is no way we should be where we are, and it is the fabled "lack of ambition" that is to blame.

Still the least of our problems. Creating chances and scoring goals the least of our problems? Along with being slow!? Particularly when you're conceding 3 sloppy goals. Rowett must be inwardly fuming with that level of performance and particularly from N'diaye and the back four. What sort of platform can you possibly achieve with such basic errors and lack of application?

Tried hard, got stuck in...shame he isn't able to control the football or pass it to someone wearing the same coloured shirt. He must have went to Diouf school. Ince best today.

Standout player by a mile. Literally the only one on the pitch that looked like he was arsed.
Speaks volumes of the team around him.

I think as far as debuts go, he did OK. Away at Leeds when half of your team aren't on form isn't going to help. I loved his intensity and he did a good job tracking back. Just need to get him on the front foot, pressing higher up the pitch.

McLean is a limited footballer but at least put in a shift
Those with an agenda (Bayern) need to focus on the other 10 who neither gave a shit nor showed an once of ability whatsoever

Both West Brom fans I've spoken to about McClean said exactly the same thing independently of each other: we won't be able to fault his work-rate but he won't do anything apart from work. One of them said every decision he took with the ball last season was the wrong one. £5m for someone that runs around a lot!

Opinions! I thought he kept running up blind alleys, he never drove for the box or picked out an intelligent end pass. He was however head and shoulders above Ince who looked totally confused and totally ill prepared for his role on the right and to supply Adobe Unhappy as I am the wake up call is briliant for everyone, this league is a real battle and we looked what we are, an ex premier league side that have got to adjust. It will happen, I have no doubt we will learn to battle and that reputations dont mean anything. We will learn that you can tackle and be robust and the refs arent hoodwinked so easily. Come on everyone we have got to support like we used to and enjoy he ride! I'm sure we will win more games than we lose! Why do you think that this game was a 'wake up call'? We have recruited a manager who is supposedly experienced in this league,so why is a wake up call? Tactically were fucking shite. Todays display was embarrassing.
