I don't want him to leave though?! Then lobby for him staying rather than leaving! Do you know what the word "lobby" means? Is this what you think you're doing when you're posting your opinion on here? If so, might I suggest a different approach - try "lobbying" by posting on the official site.

Yeh I really fancy this one also, a young exciting talent who's already proven he's good enough at this level.

Liverpool forward Harry Wilson's dream of playing first-team football for the club means he will resist going out on loan for now.
The 21-year-old has consistently been the U23's best player over the last two seasons and he enhanced his reputation further with an impressive five months at Sky Bet Championship Hull, scoring seven times in 13 matches.
Around a dozen clubs, including Celtic, are thought to have made enquiries about the Wales international, but Wilson wants to prove his worth to Jurgen Klopp in pre-season.
"The dream of mine is to play regularly for Liverpool's first team," he said. "At the moment I am getting the chance to train at Melwood and get minutes in the friendlies and my aim is to impress the manager and stay here. If that's not possible then we will weigh up the options and go from there. Everyone wants to start games. If that's not the case and you're on the bench then you need to be ready to come on and make an impact."

As if anything posted here or on the official site or even if whispered or shouted into the ear of Rowett is going to influence the manager one bit when it comes to selection or planning... I was just being sarcastically kind to an oatcake.

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/liverpool-confident-of-signing-12m-xherdan-shaqiri-from-stoke-city-70f7hv6gkLiverpool are closing in on a deal with Stoke City for Xherdan Shaqiri, the Switzerland winger. Talks between the clubs are progressing on a transfer that would cost Liverpool more than £12 million and could involve Harry Wilson leaving Anfield to join the Sky Bet Championship club on loan.
Stoke, who were relegated last season, are in pole position to sign Wilson, also a winger, but there is also strong interest in the 21-year-old, who signed a five-year contract this week, from Swansea City and Aston Villa.
www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-pre-season-training-1775496There could still be a handful of new recruits, including three wingers. James McClean is expected to join from West Brom while Stoke want Newcastle’s Matt Ritchie and another young wide man. Liverpool youngsters Sheyi Ojo and Harry Wilson have been on the radar.

If we sign any Liverpool player who doesn't play 75% of the games we are in for a £0.5m fine on top of a hefty loan fee. I'm not sure that's good business unless we aren't getting our own first team wingers in.

We'd probably look to a total of £4m for a kid that doesnt belong to us and has little or no game time. I'd rather spend it towards someone we own that has some value afterwards. Unless as I say he's first choice, which I don't see happening.

But why would Wilson and Liverpool want him to come here as back up for Ritchie when he could be a first choice starter at somewhere like Villa?

The feeling at Hull definitely seems to be that he's beyond the level of being our third-choice winger, behind McClean and Ritchie.
They seem to think he's Prem-ready already, let alone third choice for a top Champ club.
Wouldn't have thought Klopp would let him come somewhere where he'd certainly get games, but not be a 35-game-a-season man, but who knows?

Don't know much about him, could he be used as a number 10 with him being quoted as attacking midfielder?

If we can definitely get Wilson, I would be tempted to leave the Ritchie deal and save a lot of cash. We could then bring in someone like Canós for 3/4m on low wages as our cover winger/impact off the bench.

Told we want, Ritchie, McClean and Wilson as part of the Shaq deal, stoke are playing hardball with it and so they should as they are getting him dirt cheap in today's market. We also want another forward man.

The release clause should never have come out apparently but by all accounts his brother leaked it to the press.

Assuming Liverpool are prepared to meet the release clause, it hardly matters what Stoke want though, we cease to be a factor. I guess there could be a bit of leverage in insisting on 100% of the money up front rather than in installments, but aside from that (and I'm sure Liverpool can find £13m straightway if they need to), we're not exactly in a position to dictate terms to anyone.

If you mean the fee will help pay for them then fine, but the fee is fixed right, so we know what it is, no amount of 'hardball' will change that?
