Fucking hell, we had people moaning that £12 Million was too much for Shaqiri and Berahino but now we're happy to spend £15 Million on Matt Ritchie. Not sure about this one. Good player but no chance of getting our money back. We'll get our money back if we get promoted.....and the rest!!!

Why worry about getting our money back? It's not ours that's been spent.

£15m is what Newcastle value him at. It'll be add-ons and staggered payment if we pay that much.
I think there will be a few interested in him too.

We should be able to outmuscle Boro financially surely.

How do we know Etebo is only 22? ........because he was born 9 November 1995 and then used a calculator to work it out

Badou and between 5-10mil for Richie and Gayle would be ideal Straight swap. Deal.

We should be able to outmuscle Boro financially surely. Presumably he's based up that way and might want to stay there? They've already beat us to McNair and they've signed a good player in Flint from Bristol City. They'll be a decent side next year.

How do we know Etebo is only 22? His son, Gianelli Imbula, said so

I`d like to know where Middlesborough are getting their money from unless they are hoping to sell Traore

The transfer business has been positive so far and Etebo's world cup form has made it look even better but this would take it up a level again. Get this done and would prove that we are not fucking about.

Rather we went for Knockaert as he's a lot younger. Is Knockaert available?

I wonder if he's mates with Afobe? I'd imagine so... I don't want us turning into Bournemouth however.

Good player but no chance of getting our money back. Get promoted, money back! I don't remember people being that free and easy about us spending millions in the Premier League. He probably would be a good signing as he's a good player but if we end up having to spend £10 Million plus on most of our targets and we don't go up then it won't be good. I know these are the going rates but we need to make sure we're buying smart as well as trying to get back up at the first attempt. I'm not saying I want a shitload of free transfers and no ambition but, again, this is more than we spent on Shaqiri.

I remember back in the day £15m would get you an Alan Shearer and an errection. Now it’s a tut and a premiership cast off.
Joking aside, he’s probably what we need and if it gets us promoted the £15m is irrelevant

Getting £13mil or so back on Shaq means we would actually be stumping up very little. Seeing as the Shaq one is out of our hands then i think this move would make perfect sense.

Good player but no chance of getting our money back. If he helps to get promotion, we'll have got our money back? And, if not? I know we have some financial clout and have some very saleable assets but spending loads doesn't guarantee anything. I'm not against the idea of signing him at all, but we can't throw masses of cash at every signing. I like the ambition being shown (if there's anything in this one) but, at the same time, I don't want to see us spend copious amounts and fail.

Would be a very good signing for us. Bagged goals and assists for fun when Newcastle and Bournemouth went up.
